While Shia's is more refined and very funny, Foo's just reeks of doooom. It's a close call but I have to go with The Foo. Hey, that rhymed!
This was pretty tough to decide, each had it's pluses and minuses to me, but in the end I think Foo did the job best.

I really didn't want to vote on this one because they are both so well done for the theme i was going for...
Gonna vote for Foo based on what i stated as the theme though. It's a fight and it is showing a growing sense of urgency for the good guys. Exactly what i was hoping for. Shia's is awesome as well, as usual. The showdown feeling of it as an oncoming final fight is great.

I vote Foo.
For a few reasons. One, Shia's piece looks like a staged picture that happens to have some action in the background. Two, I find the perspective distracting.
Finally, I just don't like the way the characters are drawn. The scene he is portraying looks great, but it is the details that brings it down for me.
I do think that being lighter adds to it, and Foo's would have been helped by a bit more lightness to his, mainly just to make it easier to see the details. Foo's is done in a style that I'm not terribly fond of, but it is consistent in its use of that style. He seems to have a much better grasp on drawing living beings. I think Foo's could also use a bit more going on in the background to give it an "epic" feel.

I'm glad I discovered this contest this year. I was exposed to a lot of great art by a lot of talented artists. Truly impressive.
For the final vote, I'm voting for the piece that made me say "wow!" when I saw it. Both pieces were great, but one really jumped out at me and got my attention. This month, I'm voting for Foo!

Honestly, this is a divide in Shia's 'Save the World' theme and Foo's 'End of the World' theme. They're both going for completely different aspects and thusly I think they can't really be compared the same way. I feel like they both accomplished their goal and thusly I had to go with the more technically sound piece.
