Stone/Dark-Is it really worth it?
If you have a concept that you want to see rolled into virtual reality, go for it.
I wouldn't personally, however. Some people say that mitigation is critical, but I think a stone melee/ Dark armor build or even a dark melee/stone armor build is mitigation overkill. Sure, stone melee is no pushover for damage, but as you mentioned the endurance issues would be critical with that combination. Even with stamina fully slotted and some clever frankenslotting, I wouldn't touch that combo.
I am out of breath just thinking about it...
Words to the wise aren't necessary- it's the stupid ones that need them.
"You're right...I forgot...being constantly at or the near the damage cap is a big turn off. Definitely not worth it."

I'd be more inclined to make that combo into a tank than a Brute. Aside from having trouble with endurance, building Fury might also be an issue. As a Tanker, you'd be more in line with "doing your job", and you'd get both Fault and Oppressive Gloom by level 26, as opposed to level 35 as you would with a brute.
Thanks for the help
My SM/DA brute is in the top three toons I play. And I've rolled quite a few.
He's frankenslotted, and has the two healing recovery uniques+ the end proc. The build is cheaper than a purpled out build and has am-a-zing performance. I love throwing fault on top of Oppressive gloom and watch everything wander aimlesslly.
The worst part bout him was the ugly SM look, but now he's got a cool dark purple crystalline SM and dark purple DA that makes him very nictus-y.
IMHO, No.
Is it really worth going through all the trouble of fixing a Stone/Dark's endurance?
How long does it take for the build to be deemed "playable"
