-10% ToHit to Target for 20 seconds -20% Smashing Enhancement to Target for 20 seconds -20% Lethal Enhancement to Target for 20 seconds -20% Fire Enhancement to Target for 20 seconds -20% Cold Enhancement to Target for 20 seconds -20% Energy Enhancement to Target for 20 seconds -20% negative_Energy Enhancement to Target for 20 seconds -20% Toxic Enhancement to Target for 20 seconds -20% Psionic Enhancement to Target for 20 seconds -20% Defense to Target for 20 seconds -30% Resistance(Smashing) to Target for 20 seconds -30% Resistance(Lethal) to Target for 20 seconds -30% Resistance(Fire) to Target for 20 seconds -30% Resistance(Cold) to Target for 20 seconds -30% Resistance(Energy) to Target for 20 seconds -30% Resistance(negative_Energy) to Target for 20 seconds -30% Resistance(Toxic) to Target for 20 seconds -30% Resistance(Psionic) to Target for 20 seconds Effect 1000 Held to Target for 4 seconds (0% chance) [Non-resistible] As you can see NG debuffs across the board and it stacks with Envenom and Weaken. Go look again I'll wait. Now note there is a multiplier depending which tier pet you apply Noxious Gas. The numbers above are based on a tier 2 which has 1.00 multiplier. The tier 1 pets have a 0.75 multiplier. Your tier three bruiser has a 1.25 multiplier. Further reinforcing that Noxious Gas and the bruiser have the best synergy. Using the bruiser your debuffs are 12.5%, 25% & 37.5%. |
and who thinks that Akaloid and the zombies self heals will be enough to keep them standing?

Grab Stamina at 20; with this or any other /poison.
Arc #40529 : The Furies of the Earth
Zombies are rather weak on the resist category. I dont know the specifics but in my personal experience (many many many zombie chars) they dont have very good res. On the self heal, i wouldnt rely on that too much. They heal at stupid times imo. it seems like they use it more as an attack (duh it is an attack )
Zombies are my favorite MM type just because i like the mystical feel of them. (yes i know they are grotesque beings ). I just want to let you know that since you love debuffing so much you could try out TA, i dont recommend it (i have one at 50, but i think it is an abomination) the debuffage is great but the mayhem when fighting at high levels is a little too much and the amount of resummoning is extremely awful. I have noticed that storm is nice (although the kb isnt with the melee attacks), and of course dark is a good choice for debuffage. I havent really done anything with /poison because i just do not like the set as a whole. It may have something to do with the ST nature of the set.

I don't think that overall the necro set has any more excessively lower resistances than other sets.
Most Undead henchmen generally have good resistances to cold, negative energy, and psionic damage as well as sleep, fear and disorient. Undead Henchmen cannot be resurrected. |
What zombies are susceptible to are fire and lethal. Comparatively, robots are susceptible to smashing damage, which zombies are neutral to. Each mastermind set has a particular weakness to different damage types.
I leveled a robots/poison up to level 50 without taking medicine; although I did have repair. I think it would work. You might want medicine as an extra booster for the zombies health. Noxious gas would be a natural fit for the necro crew.
I would also point out that Necro/storm is not a bit fit at all. Liberal but judicious use of hurricane will keep your undead army upright.
Triumphant Defenders Forever
Psylenz FF/Psi, ArticQuark Storm/Rad, Symon BarSisyphus Bots/psn, Max VanSydow Thugs/Dk, Cyclone Symon Bots/stm, Blue Loki Ice/Cd, Widow 46526
HelinCarnate:OMG it is so terrible. I have the option to take 3 more powers but no additional slots. Boo F'ing hoo.
You can pull out the numbers for zombie resistances by getting to the character creation screen and looking through the details. Incidentally, this brief thread already contains a surprising amount of misinformation about zombie resistances, which you can easily verify by looking at their resistances in the character generation screen.
As for whether alkaloid is enough, it won't keep up with EBs / AVs with good AOE or PbAOE damage, or with multiple-boss spawns. But, it will be adequate to more than adequate in most other solo or small team situations. Alkaloid will probably disappoint on large teams with less than fully capped defences (or close to capped), even if you have good reflexes and can switch targets quickly. Consider purchasing the IOs that boost pet defences and/or resistances, to help alleviate some of the pressure to use alkaloid. Also, six-slot alkaloid fairly early in your necro/poison MM's career, with a generous helping of endurance reduction, as you will use it a *lot* over the course of fifty levels.
well i appreciate the numbers, good to know that.
i think i will gram medicine jus to help. and for slotting for more 5% recharge hehe.
and zombies have great resistances
