I MIGHT agree that porting animations between Travel powers is a good idea, IF we had more than one cool animation. That's the thing - the only reason Ninja Run is so popular at the moment is because it's the coolest travel animation available. So, rather than have the devs give up, I'd prefer, instead, they continue to develop cool new Travel powers with cool new animations.

I really think this is one thing that CO got right. The diversity in travel powers is much greater than what we've got, and goes a long way toward creating an environment evocative of comic books.

To be fair there's a difference between functional diversity and vsual diversity
They've got like five kinds of fly, Agility, Swinging, Burrowing, and then Jumping and running, then teleport and slide I think. They've got eight powers (unless I missed one that was actually different) and five versions of one that could be done better with customizing one version of fly. Right now, we have five. If we had sprints that change the running animations, like Slide that'd be cool, if the power windows were more organized and easier to clean up, I would'nt feel bad about having like eight sprints in a window I can shrink down and put to the side, until I slot or en the one I'll actually be using..

Being able to set different animations to travel powers the same as is done with the powersets is something that is needed here. The tech is not there... the system is not the same... But it is essential to the way we see travel powers.

CO doesnt have 15 travel powers.. they have more animations and effects on one power. Flying on a hover board or with flame aura is still fly as power. Same limitations, same movement. In case of CO's fire fly the version we have in COH is actually better in the way it looks. Have you ever tried to use fly with a full body fire aura at lvl 30? It looks much better.

When the power interface is there you can add or remove power (animations/aura's/effects) to or from the travel powers at will. Therefore you can exclude the powers that had to be paid for through packs or boosters. Then combine all those powers into one Travel power booster that can add them and sell that seperate. It is the functionality that is needed here.
