Pumpkin Vote!

Eddy and I decided we can't decide, so it's up to you folks. Please take into account both how the pumpkin turned out, and the idea behind it. One vote per person!

Oh, and if you're one of the pumpkinists, please let us know if there's anything we should take into account regarding your entry. E.g., if you have any extra details about the idea, or used a pattern, etc.

Tuter King’s two-face pumpkin

Mystic Fortune’s Headless Horseman

Soul Exchanger’s spider and crow

Coin’s superpumpkin

Scootertwo’s Hero/Villain pumpkin

It's a tough call, but I vote for Coin's.

I have to vote for Tuter's...

Tuter too...

No, it's not a bird impression, why do you ask?

I vote for Mystic Fortunes Headless Horsemen.

Very elaborate and intricate cuts and a lot of detail.

Yay voting, all i have to say for mine is the my pumpkin was so huge and it took me a big knife to cut all the stuff, it was like 3-4 inchs thick and my little knifes did nothing hehe.

My first instinct is to say Scooter. Though Mystic Fortumes was great too!

Mystic fortune's !!!!!

Scooters! I like that, it's different and maybe people who saw it might ask "what is that in your pumpkin?"

Sweet job guys! I would have to vote for the Headless Horseman. The crow looked like it might be cool but I couldnt see the detail in the pic very well.

I tried a new technique for the first time this year. Carving the skin off the face of the pumpkin and leaving the "meat". It makes it easier to have pieces that float, and you can have 3 shades instead of just 2.

I did a spooky lookin tree in a graveyard, similar to the one I made for my signature pic.

What do ya think?

I'd like to point out, that the Headless Horseman looks much cooler when lit! (though my crappy camera doesn't do it much good..)

That is a VERY cool pumpkin, Red.

Damn that's cool Red. I would've voted for that if you'd entered. Although... Coin did carve the pumpkin with their three year old son. That's got to be harder than using a knife, and technical points would have to be given accordingly.

Yeah Soul, that looks better lit up! And glad you guys like my pumpkin, next year I am going to do a haunted house in the same carving style, it will blow that one away...I go a little crazy on Halloween lol. It is like my Christmas

I like fortunes. It was a hard decision. I seem to recall a carven apple was entered as well.

The apple was done by Eddy Swan and he's coloring the Foo art prize so not actually entering...

Well, all of the entrants did fantastic jobs on their pumpkins. And choosing was difficult for me because even though some of the carvings were outstanding, I decided to go more for originality...so I chose two!

I love the Headless Horseman by Mystic Fortune! Very neatly done and obviously a lot of time went into the carving. But my vote is going to Tuter King because it appears that a cut out pattern wasn't used, and the idea was unique, IMO.
