Logging Out only to the Log In Screen

Also, if you currently try to log back into the game before your previous character has completely logged out then you get a pop up warning saying that the account is currently logged in. If you click the log in button a second time then the character that is still counting down vanishes so that you don't have two characters on at the same time.
Don't count your weasels before they pop dink!
A couple of reasons for the 30 second wait is to ensure that players don't log out in the middle of fights to try and not get killed if that is going to happen. And also to prevent people from being able to grief other players by training large amounts of mobs onto another player and then logging out immediately.

Perhaps being able to log out should be tied to combat status then? In a lot of MMOs you can't log out while in combat, so you have to finish your fight one way or the other before logging.
At the very least it would be nice if the 30 seconds could be waived in places like the marketplace, stores, hospitals, etc.

And even if there is a reason they want a character to be visible for 30 seconds there is no logical reason that I can see for that to stop you logging in again. If its a different toon then you could potential see your character in the last stages of vanishing if it is the same then it will just be like the loggout was cancelled before the countdown finished.
Question, and I've always wondered this since I've had my account as of Jan. 09'.
When you log out (full log out) to your desktop, it gives you the option to "exit" immediately without having to wait the full 30 seconds. It also says that if you do exit immediately, you character will still be on screen until the full 30 seconds completes.
With that being said, how come when you log out the the "log-in" screen to sign in to another toon does it not give you this option?
Hehe, as I was typing this a thought just hit me on why you cannot instantly log out to your log in screen. Because if you did and tried to log on with another toon, when you might have a conflict with 2 toons being logged on at the same time until the full 30 seconds runs out so,...hmmmmm I guess that make sense. I think I just answered my own thread..lol.
