I'm not intending to use it for PvP. I understand that this will be an exspensive build. Any suggestions or help would be very much appreciated.

Okay, what I can tell you right now is that build is going to cost several billion for hardly any benefit. Lots of expensive IO's but no real...direction to any particular bonus. I'm not very sure about what you want to do with your character, are you going for damage output, survival, teaming? Just well rounded in general? Also what sort of budget do expect to have?

If you can tell me this stuff I can do alot more for you for build advice.

Edit* Taking a closer look some general advice I can offer you is.

Slot Dark servant for tohit debuff..That is what he is best at. Putting Procs in him will hardly effect anything at all. Dark watchers despair is a very good set for him.
If you are dead set on soul mastery pool and take Soulstorm, don't even bother taking Petrifying gaze, its a waste. As far as patrons go, mu mastery is very good for dark corrs as the power sink end restore power helps ALOT with darks end consumption.

Agree with ShadowNate, the build lacks solid direction to it.

Focusing more on getting recharge, using Fly for travel and hover for movement around the battle, keeping both pets (sounds fun) and the same Patron pool I've come up with this. Hopefully it helps and hopefully someone with more playing experience with Dark/Dark comments on any silliness I may have in the build. Have played both Dark/* and */Dark as defenders or corruptors but have yet to pair them as a Dark/Dark.

I disagree. I quite enjoy being able to lock down a boss using both holds. I can understand that you might not value that, but it's hardly a waste.

Waste was perhaps abit extreme but with the many other tools available I do not feel it is the best use of a power choice. YMMV of course.

Thank you for the quick response. I have to admit I made the toon about a half hour before posting. I have some experience with D3's (Dark/Dark Def's) on blue-side.

To answer some questions: Having played Offender's on hero side, I was wanting to focus on the dps aspect of the Corrupter. I like the control heavy style of Dark Miasma so I think I'll keep Soul Mastery and its hold on the list. So with an aim towards soloing being the primary outcome and teaming second, here is the new build.

With a quick look.

For Gloom remove the Apoc Damage and replace it with the Apoc %neg, your damage output will go up on average and will be noticeable higher when it actually procs.

Are we looking to use purple sets or not? You've gone from using several to just Apoc.

Think you are better off with slotting "first set" def/endred, def/endred/rech + "second set" def/endred, def/endred/rech in Shadow Fall. Skip the LotG+7.5 there ... unless the build starts using several more the +rech isn't making enough of a difference in the timers on other powers to justify the end lost I'm thinking (shaves about a second off Tar Patch and Fearsome Stare and about 5 seconds off Blackstar) or perhaps go with 4 GotA for the end help from set bonuses.

Which brings the concern ... with the auto Villain accolades enabled + turning on various toggles your net end for use in attacks is likely going to be painful. The build I posted is a bit better on net recovery and considering its recharge mine leaves me nervous. At this point I'd say that's the weakest point in the build as much of the rest is more about personal choices of Patron, taking or not taking Petrifying Gaze, etc..

Consider using a To Hit Debuff set in Fearsome Stare. Yes it's a fear power but I'm thinking the to hit debuff for the base 17 seconds of the fear effect offers higher survivability for you and the team than a longer duration fear effect with lower to hit debuff. The team should be defeating or at least cleaning the last of the spawn up in well less than 17 seconds into the fight. Between Fearsome Stare+Darkest Night+whatever Fluffy does the mob should be in whiff fest mode rapidly, I'd be slotting to ensure that is the case whenever it doesn't cost you direct damage from your blasts in particular. That, in part, is why I chose Power Boost over Soul Drain in my build. Either is a solid choice but Power Boost is less slot intensive so I went with it.

I was trying to reduce the cost of the slotting with the most recent build. I was wondering about the End usage. With the Global recharge bonuses, will I be running dry on End rapidly? Or is the slotting on stamina enough?

I'm probably going to run with the build I have for a few levels. You know... actually do some play testing before posting the next build idea. Who knows, maybe this thread will spawn a new Dark/Dark guide. If it does, I will give credit to all who helped.

I can see dropping Soul Drain for Power Up for slotting reasons. How do the bonuses from each compare? Or, where could I go to check those numbers on my own?

Thanks.

Well Doomguides build he posted would most likely suit your needs for a offensively geared Corruptor.
There is no specific mechanism for comparing bonus's directly other then checking the bonus provided by each set. However soul drain will do quite abit to improve DPS so I would avoid dropping it.

Agreed. I can hold most AVs by myself like that and that makes a hell of a difference on TFs or solo-ing.

My build. My Dark/Dark Corr was my first character so I was prepared to pay the extreme cost of this build.

She's S/L Soft-capped, Perma-hastened. The rate at which she can fire off heals, debuffs, controls and Howling Twilight is pretty ridiculous. She only needs Tough and/or Focused Accuracy on in exceptional cases, but they both work extremely well in those cases.

Due to her speed, she can bring all of dark/dark's extreme-versatility to bear: she can switch between healing, debuffing, control and damage without missing a beat. FS every mob just after the tank hits it, and the immense to-hit debuff means you won't be healing very often. Having HT up every 45 seconds allows you to use it as a tactical debuff (e.g. a follow-up to FS in a boss-mob) without needing to save it for a fallen team-mate. Even Dark Blast's somewhat lackluster attacks feel potent

I built for the softcap, then the speed, then end, because things had felt a little tight in general, and real end issues cropped up soloing AVs. If anything, I'd remove the Miracle: +Recovery, because the build really doesn't need that much end, and maybe look at another slow or recharge reduction in Tar Pit.
