Hi. I have a problem trying to find a secondary that i can use that doesnt use heals as a main power. I want to use poison or traps but I die really easy at low level and that sort of not make me not wanna use it. Is there a way to use poison or traps without needing to use heals very often?

Bots / traps is very easy-to-manage combination if you'd rather not spend time healing. The protector bots will heal other bots for you on a regular basis, in addition to giving out defensive bubbles to reduce incoming damage.

/poison will have you slinging the single target heal on a regular basis, in contrast to /traps which doesn't even have a heal (just a +regen power that you place once every 90 seconds or so, after heavy slotting for recharge).

All of the secondaries early on rely heavy on healing until they mature. Either the sets don't have other mitigation or its of low value with long recharge timers.

I'm sorry to say, but for lowbie MMs get used to healing the pets and surviving through bodyguard. Its really not that bad, and no worse than the lowbie struggles other sets have to endure.

You say you're looking for a secondary, but what about your primary? If you're stuck on ninjas for your primary, I'm sorry to say there is NOTHING that will completely make up for the fact that they're apparently made out of tissue paper.

If you want a combo that's almost death-proof, even at relatively low levels, try Bots/ff. Then slot your defensive powers early and often, especially the protector bots. That's the fastest, easiest way to become nigh-invincible.

But even with all that defense, I recommend picking up aid other from the medicine pool and six-slotting it. If you can heal the trickle of damage that gets through all your force feilds, that is the difference between being very hard to kill and being impossible to kill.

To the Op, help us with which primary you prefer and we can give a better suggestion for a secondary.

Triumphant Defenders Forever
Psylenz FF/Psi, ArticQuark Storm/Rad, Symon BarSisyphus Bots/psn, Max VanSydow Thugs/Dk, Cyclone Symon Bots/stm, Blue Loki Ice/Cd, Widow 46526
HelinCarnate:OMG it is so terrible. I have the option to take 3 more powers but no additional slots. Boo F'ing hoo.

I would suggest Storm Summoning, Traps, Thermal, Force Fields, Dark Miasma, and Pain Domination, as all of them work wonderfully with bots.

I agree with the Bookkeeper on these sets.

I would add my first mastermind is a Robots/Poison that reached level 50 before the Bodyguard feature was added. I played it very offensively. My robots would initiate attack from a distance. After level 6 with their upgrade, they can blast from outside the foes range most of the time. Add the knockback on top of that, the bots are pushing them back. I made sure my bots attacked the same target until level 32 when they got the AoE. Killing one by one is faster than killing 3 in a group simultaneously.

Your poison debuffs can be used to make the killing much faster. Life gets much easier after level 12, and even easier after level 24 with the second protector bot. Choose your villains if you can. Lost are easier than hellions. For robots, snakes are easier than Lost. Try healing the robots with alkaloid BEFORE they take damage; it's a toxic damage buff. Mooks and skulls are pretty easy. Later on, the Family consigliere will be your nemesis. You definitely want to dogpile him.

Good luck, and as always... TRY THEM ALL
