Generic IO recipes not dropping at right levels during Flashback?
Sorry for the double posting but.
I'm wondering if this is related to the TF difficulty "bug" where I notice that -1's in flashbacks is giving us 48's and 49's in level 50 missions. (Should give us 49's and 50's.) I also notice that +1 or higher difficulty is just rounding out all the mobs to an even level 50. (Should give us 51's and 52's for +1.)
Edit: Dunno if it's related but as a 42 in PI fighting Zombies I got level 30 recipes?

I have not participated enough in the Deadly Apoc to know if their spawns have level 30 "internal levels".
(all critters that obey the "giant monster coding" have an "internal level" that dictates what level their drops are based off of, and also at what level you start doing more damage against them (at a lower level than the internal level, you do less damage))

Zombie Apocalypse, or Deadly Apocalypse? If the standard Zombie Apoc, I believe this at least is WAI...zombies' "internal level" is 30. (same with the Rikti Invasions)

Deadly Apoc is level 30 (or at least they drop level 30 recipes).

I know the Zombie Invasion Elite Bosses (Nightmares) are inherent level 50 like the Rikti Invasion Heavy Assault Suits and UXBs, but I've only run into 1 Elite Boss during the Deadly Apocalypse and didn't get a drop from it to find out if they are level 50 inherent as well.

Running some of the Oro missions that just got fixed in the new patch and I'm noticing that any mob not level 50 is dropping level 45 generic IO recipes? I only noticed this when I went to test with -1 level settings of course. IIRC 47+ drop level 50 recipes...
Edit: Further testing shows this is happening with SO's as well but those tend to fluctuate wildly anyway so it's harder to tell. Edit: boggled to learn that my settings were actually +0 level?? Regardless, 49's should be dropping 50 generics. So further testing, double and triple checking settings, oro flashbacks at level 50 from -1 to +1 level of difficulty and +0 to +7 virtual teammates I still randomly get level 45 generics off of some level FIFTY mobs (!!) and randomly get level 48-50 SOs and have gotten a level 49 pacing of the turtle acc/end off of a level 50 Rikti. Crud. |

After being contacted by Arbiter Kim and asked what missions I saw it on I decided to run a few variety to see if it's happening outside RWZ... I just tested that arc specifically (Code Merlin) on -1/x4/no and got a 49 to drop a 45. The Possessed Scientists were the "Psychic/Rocks" type and a minion was the culprit. The 45 was a Damage recipe. Got a 46 SO while doing that arc too, sheesh that's "wrong" lol.
I've taken to running hero stats and logging my chats to help verify this bug, very handy when you see the bug flash by in a big crowd of AOE. I will try with bosses set to Yes and your settings just to see if maybe it's the "bosses Y/N" causing it. I've also tested it quite a bit in RWZ arcs on my Scrapper now too and see it happening heroside.
Edit: Ran one Code Merlin with 0/x6/y/n, got the ice/earth/forcefield scientists and got 48 and 49 Set Recipe and SO's but did not see a 45 Generic Recipe. There WERE significantly less drops even though spawns were larger than x4 teammates but that is just anecdotal on that part. So I'm still seeing most of the drop bugs sans the generic 45 bug. Going to try it, 0/x6/n/n and see if I get the generic bug.
Edit2: An additional run, at 0/x6/n/n also did not yield a 45 generic. Seems like 0/x6 is the magic bullet? This run had earth/dark scientists though. Wish I could get a consistent set of scientists but it's hard to do that with having to wait for the oro portal to reset between TF resets. I've recorded runs a -1/x6, -1/x7 and -1/x8 and seen the generic 45 recipe bug. It's fascinating, to me, that it's nothing to do with the actual level of the mob or anything, it seems, but rather the a mix of -1 and 0 level modifier and the number of virtual teammates.
Edit3: Ran "Horror of War" the original mission i noticed the bug in, with 0/x6/n/n. Did not see Generic 45 bug. I HAVE seen the bug in this mission on 0/x1 and 0/x2, if I had not then I would say this is completely related to simply setting difficulty to -1. Getting a little burned out testing although I have got some great drops to make up for all this "work" for once. Regardless, these missions have level 49 and 50 mobs in them and none of the 50's seem to be able to drop level 50 recipes. IE: All non-generic recipes drop at 49 whether the mob is 49 or 50. I also have not seen a purple recipe in a week of running this stuff and I usually see them (far?) more frequently than that. I did just get a Respec Recipe though. SO's are also affected, sometimes dropping at 47 off of level 50 mobs and frequently dropping as 48 and 49, "never" 50.
Edit4: WOW, the x6 teammates setting is really weird. It definitely has an effect on the bug and it also seems to really bork the spawns in some missions. Every mission barring the 1st and last mission of "Horror of War" refused to spawn 49's but I also did not see any 45 generics dropping off the 48's, all while using x6 teammates. In conjunction with -1 levels it also caused gigantic ambushes of Rikti drones to swoop in, kind of like the spawns you see rarely with a ton of Drones and a single LT but as ambushes and level 48 heat seeking you and your poor, poor hostage. LOL. I think I'm done data mining this one, it's easily reproduce able with a simple -1/x2 setting.
Edit5:And in the "it just goes to show" pile, I just got a purple recipe on -1/x2 so... there goes that bit of info. :crazy:

After running a single mission at 0/x6/y/n (enemy level +/-0, equal to 6 teammates, yes i want to fight bosses, no I don't want AVs) I have NOT been able to reproduce the 45 Generic Recipe drop bug regardless of settings.
According to the notes I've been taking while testing the only thing I hadn't tried was setting bosses to Yes. Possibly toggling this on for one mission then toggling it off has "fixed" the bug. Something has "fixed" it as the reproduction rate of the bug was at around 3-5 level 45 generics per flashback and now I can't get a single one.
The other "bugs" like level 50 mobs dropping 49s and such are still happening. It seems that all mobs drop their recipes at the lowest possible level for the mission, whatever that is per your difficulty settings and adjusted for the permanent "minus 1" affect happening with TFs and Flashbacks right now. Drops from mission completes do not seem to be affected as I got a 49 Stupefy:Stun/Range recipe in a mission where all other recipe drops were 48 due to -1 difficulty and -1 global TF/FB bug.
Essentially, the bug has a workaround involving completing a flashback with a setting of at least 0/x6/y/n and possibly as simple as setting bosses to Y with any other settings. I might test this on another toon that I've never fiddled with the boss y/n toggle on before but I'm pretty burnt out on testing this, even with all the good drops.
Edit: As an update/clarification, I just reproduced the 45 generic bug off a 49 Boss turned LT Fake Nemesis, so it still exists, even when I'm not trying to get it to, heh.
Edit2: This is a first, I just got a 45 generic as the reward for finishing the mission? Either that or it fell off a 48 EB, hard to tell with the combat text all run together. It came after the defeat of the EB but before the "you have blah blah-ed the mission blah!" so I'm hoping it's just another common repro off a mob kill. I DO have day job: chronologist running though...
Edit3: Indeed, Chronologist day job makes this bug reproduction rate go through the roof. Why chronologist affects mob drop rate, I dunno...

My tank hit 47 (woohoo!) a week ago and my recipe inventory is now filling up on level 50 generic recipes. I haven't done anything but Unai's arc missions with a team of 3 all of whom are level 47 or lower. We run either +0 or +1 rep (depending on who's mission we set active).

It may also be that you only see this in TF/Flashback at 50, in fact, I think it's almost guaranteed to only be seen when doing level 50 flashbacks in my testing.
Actually, the 100 percent reproduction seems to simply be, be level 50, get some Chronologist day job saved up, flash back a level 50 mission and complete it. So far I've gotten it 6 out of 6 tries this way.
