Question about NA/EU Servers.

I'm downloading CoH specifically to play with someone in the UK, but I'm in the US, and I've noticed that there are NA and EU servers.

So is it possible for someone from the UK to play on a NA server, or is that going to be a problem?

You will not be able to use one account to play on both server sets.

You need to get a EU copy of the game to play on EU servers, and it will not allow you to play on US servers. Alternatively, you need a US version to play on US servers, and it will not allow you to play on the EU servers.

Your physical location doesn't matter, however. What matters is what version of the game you get.

Oh, I'm not looking to switch between NA/EU servers. We'll stick to one or the other, I was just curious if someone in the UK could get the NA version.

But you sort of answered my question anyway. Thanks for the quick response.

Just note, they might not be able to get the U.S. version of the game over there that easily. You might need to get it for them.

Yes, though you're unlikely to be able to buy the US version in a UK brick-and-mortar store. There should be no problem buying from the NCSoft online store (though make sure you switch which version of the store you're looking at, since it defaults to a region based on your IP)

I figured he'd have to get it from the online store, but right now we're just going to play the trial and I've already linked him to the US version of the site.
