Background Selector: Hero, Villain, Plain. (black&white, no pictures)
Handy for those posting from work to look like they are just glancing over a plain text document. 
(Maybe we can implement this before Going Rogue comes out?)
I wouldn't mind an option like that.
In the meantime, though, if you're running Firefox, you can try Zombie Man's board skins. Also, I think if you're running Ad Block Pro, you can go in and just block the image from showing up.
More options are always good, but there's a stopgap measure in the meantime.

I just had a moment where something hung fire in my Internet connection for a moment, such that the boards had completely loaded except for the background image... and it looked great that way. Really made me realize how tired I am of looking at Statesman's goofy half-helmet and Lord R's hideous mug. How about a checkbox to turn that off, a la the skin selector?
