Kudos Devs on SSK!
Yes, it is the single greatest thing the devs have ever done for this game. This coming from someone that plays in nothing but Pick up Groups (check my signature).
Nothing has made the game more ENJOYABLE for me than this simple thing has.

Sartre once said, "Hell is other people." What does that make an MMO?
And most importantly, not having to see the "too far away from your sidekick" messages in game.
Agree, a game-defining feature!
Agreed. It does rank right up there with the addition of capes and villains.
There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.
Agreed as well. I loves SSK so much!

They all laughed at me when I said I wanted to be a comedian.
But I showed them, and nobody's laughing at me now!

I wouldn't go as far as to call it the best feature added to the game. It'd be hard to top the invention and market systems for that. But yes, it is very nice
It has really changed my level of enjoyment for the better. I also run PuGs almost exclusively, and can now put a viable team together in about 20 seconds (with NO blind invites, of course, as always).
Please give the peeps who came up with, and implemented this feature a big fat bonus/raise.
Its been great with my friends (since they have many alts of many levels on many servers), we can team with whichever of our characters we feel like playing. And when someone we don't know sends a tell asking if they can join, we can always let them without having to worry if we can sk/exemp them.
Also encouraged us to pick up a few TFs we missed on various characters, since now they can still progress while doing so. That should make it easier to recruit for TFs in general.
And, as others said, makes PUGing much easier. I can invite that lvl 23 who is lft even if we currently have a mix of a 31, 35, and 42.
I have been able to team alot more. I have teamed with a bunch of mid-20's on a low 30's character and only lost a power or so and STILL got XP and kept leveling. I was 'hurting AND gimping' myself to get on that team.
ToT teams are TONS easier now. Just go to PI and get on a team. As long as a 50 leads it, you dont have to worry about mentors and stuff.
A lot to love with SSK. The only downside was not being able to "bridge" which made the last 2XP weekend the least effective to date, but that is understandable. I will get MANY more lvls out of ToTing anyway.
The ability to sidekick was one of the greatest things CoH had going for it, right from the start. SSK has made a good thing even better.
However, it turned out that Smith was not a time-travelling Terminator
Super Side Kicking… in my opinion, it’s the single greatest innovation to the game I’ve ever seen.
Being able to keep up to 5 levels of your powers when you get X’d down, getting full xp regardless of your X down, not being concerned if you have enough high levels to SK up the low levels, its all truly great stuff!
Nice work!
