Help With Teleporter Beacons!

We are pretty new to this and haven't figured out how to create a beacon for the teleporter we just installed in our base. We understand having to get the explorer badges in the areas, but we cannot figure out how to convert these badges into a beacon.

What are the steps once you have the badges? For example, I have the four badges in Steel Canyon, Secret Admirer, Hero Corps Recruit, Nimble Mynx, and Bright Star. What do I do now? We looked in our base and the workshop we created, but cannot find anything.

Is there somewhere in-game we can find more info as well? It was all very unclear to us.

Any advice and help is greatly appreciated!

You need to visit all the badge locations in a zone WHILE IN SG MODE. Most likely you hit one or two while not in SG Mode. Vidiotmaps.com has maps of all zones with badge locations as does the Paragonwiki.

Edited to add: Also the beacons when received can only be placed by editing the base and being in a Teleport Room.

Like the Knight said, first make sure you actually have the badge by collecting the exploration badges in SG mode (look under Super in the badge listing).

The beacons you have available will be be listed under teleport in the "place items" menu when in a teleportation room.

To build a teleport pad, use a basic worktable. Only two beacons may be attached to any pad.

Hope this helps!

Yeah, I am not sure about all of them, but the last one I got, Nimble Mynx, I WAS in SG mode. I still didn't see it under my SG Exploration Badges.

When we do have them all in an area, will the teleport pad recognize this and allow us to create a beacon? Or will the workshop recognize it and allow us to create one?

Lastly, does ONE SG member have to have all of the badges, do ALL of the SG members have to have them, or can the SG members each have only SOME of the badges as long as the SG as a whole has the badges?

Thanks for your help!

Any member of the SG can get one or more of the explore badges while in SG Mode and have it count toward the beacon. But all the explore badges in the zone must be touched by someone in SG mode.

Also you appear to be looking the Explore Badge tab of the SG Badges. This tab never has the explore badges in it. You only get the beacon badge in the Acheivement? Tab.

Edit to add: You don't craft the beacon at the workbench only the Transporter. The beacons once earned are an item in the transport tab while in a TP room.

Oh, yes it does. The Exploration tab is EXACTLY where the beacons get listed.

As mentioned, once the SG has the badge, the beacon can be bought like any other regular base item - right off the menu from either the Arcane or Tech transportation tabs.

This is bugged - it is possible to hit all the badge sites in SG mode, get the exploration badge, and still not get credit for the beacon. I know this because I have run in SG mode non-stop since founding my SG and there were zones I had never entered prior to that. Because you personally have credit for the individual badge sites there is no way to tell which one is responsible (if it isn't more than one). For the first problem one I only had to revisit one site to get the beacon, for the second one I had to hit all of them again. Just unlucky in the order would be my guess.

It doesn't matter who visits what, as long as the SG accumulates all of the sites. For example I joined an SG that didn't have the KR beacon and only had to visit one site to get it. The other sites had presumably already been visited by other members operating in SG mode.

The exploration badges are a group effort, so the same character (or everyone the SG) doesn't have to collect all of them for one zone, though I like to get them on my characters anyway. It only matters if all of the exploration markers have been collected for a zone by SG member(s) while in SG mode.

Hey there, just started a base a while back and collected a bunch of exploration badges pre-SG mode. Now I'm standing over ones I already have for 30 seconds, hoping they'll reactivate and allow me to build a beacon. doesn't seem to be happening - tried it in Oroboros and starting in Atlas Park, but can't tell if I'm 're-getting' the badge. Any hints?

thanks!
L.

You can't get the same badge a second time, so the SG doesn't get the exploration badges. It does however get credit towards the beacon badges and once you've visited them all in a zone you should get the beacon badge for the SG. If you don't, revisit the sites until you do. I've found that some exploration badges are harder to get than others - as if the symbol weren't always in quite the right spot and sometimes I've had to run around the immediate area a little bit.

heh.... yah, you won't see the "badge ding" again, but you should be getting "SG credit" for the badge. Double check with Vidiotmaps or P-wiki to be sure you're re-hitting them all (I tend to sweep a map for badges & plaques all at once).

Another way to tell if you have the beacon badge is to switch your badge list from "personal" to "supergroup" via the little buttons at the bottom of the badge list.

Thanks both - do you know if there's a way to get a TP beacon set up for Cimerora, or do we have to keep going through the Midnight Club?

I don't think there's a beacon for Cimerora.

Also, OP: if you have http://vidiotmaps.com/ installed, it'll overlay all the exploration badge and plaque locations on your map in the nav bar. Just make sure you're in SG mode when you visit all the locations, and you should be good to go.

Hope this helps too.
