It's a complete myth that defense is "useless" in RV. What's happens is that most people who pve with a heavily defensive set roll up in RV thinking they will have the Godlike ability to avoid just about everything coming their way like in pve. It just doesn't work like that. If someone has BU+AIM, or just Aim, they will get through your defense. Its just how it works.
Now if you fight a build without BU, or aim, or any way to increase their accuracy, you will own them. I know because I have two lvl 50 trollers that are useless against high defense builds. I simply can't hit them.
Its really just a perception thing.
