Thoughts on Willpower/Electric Melee?

My Double XP weekend project was getting my fledgling WP/Elec up to Level 20. Did it solo with a combo of sewer runs and Radio missions. Jacobs Ladder helped alot for the lower levels.

While not sharing a theme the combo just seemed to work well, at least in my head. Lightning Rod will make an excellent Alpha mitigation utility with the Teleport+Knockdown, helping to soften up one of the weaker points in Willpower.

I am already planning on Tough+Weave and Health+Stamina. Would Hasten help outside of Lighting Rod or would it be better just to invest in Recharge bonuses. If I do go Hasten I think I will end up locked into SuperSpeed for travel.

Anybody have any thoughts or experience with WP/Elec?

Electric Melee seems to be a fairly endurance light secondary. This may be a function of the endurance return; on my Shield/Electric, I slotted no attack for endurance modification, but over time it adds up. The multi target splash attacks would help Willpower a lot, though.

I think you want Hasten to improve the general feel of the set, which is rather slow, although it is possible to get a reasonably fluid attack chain up without pool power attacks.

Because for 10K inf, every character now has access to the jump pack vendors in the Shard at any level, Super Speed is no longer quite as hard to work in tight builds as it used to be.

My only concern is that Hasten would be an addition to Lightning Rod only. My other attacks so far (Charged brawl, Jacobs Ladder, Thunder Strike, Boxing) recharge fast enough for my tastes. Willpower gets no real benefit from Hasten.

You are right about the low endurance usage of the set. Quick Recovery has made me a beast so far, so much so I may push Stamina farther along in the build...or look at dropping it all together.

If I go the Hasten path I may slot heavy for accuracy and endurance mod and see if it can be made into a good sapper type build.

I have an EL/WP brute, been 50 a while, and taking into account the difference in damage and defence/resist between brutes and tanks, it is FUN!!!!

I have hasten, only down about 15 seconds(still lacking 2 LOTG +rch)

Thunderstrike comes up fairly often, maybe twice per spawn, while lightning rod is up every spawn(running +2/+6 missions fairly often) and I use that to open.

Tanks will survive better and take a little longer to kill everything, granted, but it still should be alot of fun.

I also have a 50 Elec/Wp brute like dragon, no hasten or IO's but without that I have a good ST chain and a decent aoe chain(pre Mu). I can't constant chain the aoe chain without the epic but one st round on a hard target and I get to pop the aoe chain again, but thanks to Mu I have an aoe chain that just doesn't stop. And while this was redside, once I got rolling nothing could pull the aggro off me.

Even without the epic, if I wanted their attention I had it, even the tankers I've run with in RWZ/Cim have had trouble trying to pull groups off of me, granted that one tanker during LGTF wanted me to tank the final room due to too much psi for him.=)

Got up to lvl 23 so far. I think I invested too much in team powers as he is now soloing like a turtle, even with a full patrol bonus. Plus the lack of good drops has stunted my influance and keeping me from slotting up lvl 25 IOs.

The lower levels played really well and I gained several soloing the sewers. Jacobs ladder is a great lower level power.

If I cannot hook up with a team tonight I will respec out of Tough and Taunt and aim for more help in other areas, possibly working toward Stamina to make up for lack of endurance redux for the moment. Doing that would let me focus on slotting Accuracy, something that is really bugging me at the moment.
