The ITF for the Money, Saturday at 7 PM Central
Hmmmm, did I oversell it? Would people prefer a LGTF or Moonfire?
I mostly just want some influence and merits for Grey Pilgrim, and have a couple hours open. How I do it doesn't matter.
I know I'll probably get something started just using the channels, but I always like to get a start here.

GP, I will be canceling my Reichsmann to join your endeavor. Not that I had much interest shown in my TF. Only person I had was Viv as a maybe. So, count me in.
I kept forgetting to post in your thread, heh. We could probably both run these TFs tonight and get enough from the channels, I just like starting out with some for sure names to cut down on recruiting time, have a solid team start, etc.
I didn't want to draw people from your TF, but I don't really enjoy the hero version of the Reichsmann very much... the first mission is kind of fun, but the rest are kind of generic. And the Reichsmann is mostly just a sack of hitpoints: you do have to worry about the other AVs that come in and his stun to some extent, but it's not that tricky to handle. It just goes on a little too long for what it is.
I'm guessing that's why not many signed up, just because you wouldn't get too much xp/inf/prestige... though you could make sure to clear a lot up to the end and get a good amount, rather than skipping like so many teams do. But who knows, no one signed up here really, either. Still have time, of course, but I think most are pretty meh on 2XP. Some of our regular posters aren't posting much... I know MG is playing, but he just isn't posting like he used to.
Anyway, does the ITF sound best to you? Or would you rather tackle the LGTF or Moonfire? I still need those badges, but I think the ITF is more straightforward for getting xp/inf.

Honestly, you could run the ITF, keep the same team, and run the Khan. They both go fairly quickly and have similar elements. I think the ITF has the edge on xp, but I haven't tracked to be sure.

I looked for you, John, but didn't see you. Sorry. Unless your global is different in game than here in the forums, so maybe you were with us... wouldn't be the first time it's happened, heh.
I'm going to post about it in the bug part of the forums, but we ran into something annoying with the new auto-sk feature. Vista decided to crash me just before we started the TF, and during the first, so the next person below me had the star, who was also a 50.
But then they crashed during the second mission. We got out, and the third person to get the star was... 41. He got the next mission before we caught this, dropping us all to 41. This would have been okay with the new system, but... all the foes in the 3rd mission were still level 50. Ay yai.
We didn't really want to wait for a GM, and some were apparently annoyed that I wanted us to clear as much of each mission as possible (even though it's 2XP weekend and I advertised for the TF by saying we would clear as much as we can), so we just dissolved.
Still picked up about 5 mill just from defeats in the first two missions, so that's not that bad... wanted a bit more, though. Joined up with Mental redside after and started a RWZ team, and that was much better. Didn't have annoyed people on the team and we motored through things.

Why didn't you just have the level 41 log off for a minute to pass the star to the next person in line?

So I think there may still be a few kinks to work out where SSK and TFs are concerned.

All TFs will spawn at the highest level they can if you have even one person at, or over, that highest level. This is regardless who has the star. Bug or WAI for the TF spawning, it's annoying.
If the person with the star is the highest level and they DC while you are all in a mission, you should all remain at that person's level while inside. Once you all exit/the mission ends, the next person in line will get the star and the rest of the team will be leashed to him; the missions will still be maxed out however, as far as I can tell, though I have not had only one person on the team at max level DC/not come back (I've usually had 2 or more on the team so the levels stay maxed anyway).
There might be a time-delay that if the person does not come back at all from a DC while in a mission (or some X minutes), the levels of the players may change while inside and you can be royally screwed; lvl 41s start fighting lvl 50s all of a sudden. But I've not seen this X minutes pass so I advise everyone stay in the mission to finish it if the star/leader DCs. Once outside, play the log off game so the next person at highest level will remain on to get the star for the next mission. If you do this before the current mission ends, nothing will change.
If someone quits while in the mission, that could be a whole other story. But I've not had that happen yet. The ITF is about the worst case scenario for this because of the massive level range of it.
I've already forgotten about most of you

Ham, like I said in the VF channel, we all left the mission and had two people log out so a 50 would get the star, but it changed nothing. Once the mission is set, it stays, apparently.
We might have been okay if we had caught the issue in time. The second person to have the star was 50, and DC'd during the second mission. I didn't get the notice that I was dropping to level 41 until the third leader grabbed the third mission, so we might have escaped this if I had known sooner (the new system, however, makes it hard to know who is what level on the fly. I really wasn't being picky with this ITF, so I was just inviting whoever was interested.
We did hang around for a bit, but nothing changed, as well. I posted this over in the bugs section of the forum, and let the new "I work on bugs in the game" dev, Arbiter Kim, know about it.

Do you like XP?
Do you like Influence?
Do you like Prestige?
If you answered yes to one of those (or more), do I have the Imperious Task Force for you!
It's 2XP weekend, meaning it's worth dropping as many mobs as you can! On Saturday night, at 7 PM Central (8 PM Eastern), I will be running the ITF. The goal here is to clear as much of the maps as possible, while still finishing in a decent time (i.e., we won't fight every ambush in mission one, try to clear the 3rd "lagmap," etc.). So no rushing through and ignoring mobs: we're going to drop as many as we can. We're in it for the XP, Influence, and Prestige!
I will be tanking for the ITF with Grey Pilgrim, my rough and tough Fire tank, so we have a good base to start from. Let me know if you want in, and join the xp/inf/prestige train in Cim!
