Fixing Ring and Run: ToT suggestion
Quote:
Personally I used to hate ring and run types, now I am actually glad they are around. Before the GM code there would be high level spawns killing folks in lowbie zones. Now it just leaves more spawns standing around so I can get my hunt badges quicker.
Just a quick suggestion for the Halloween event. There's always a rash of "Ring and Runs" to coin an old term from my neighborhood mischief night days. This occurs when, for whatever reason (death, laziness or grieifng) when the individual or team spawns a tot mob, but then simply runs away (or, is killed), often leaving a very annoying and sometimes deadly obstacle for others to deal with.
My suggestion is that, the spawns target the "knocker" until destroyed or the "knocker" is dead. Through zones, through doors, they should just keep coming until the knocker deals with them... or is dealt with. ![]() Please... let this be the "Trick" of the new Trick-or-Treat event. |
Don't count your weasels before they pop dink!
maybe they could be set to passive/aggressive or defensive like the MM bots. That way if the knocker is killed they wont attack unless attacked first.
But if not how about making them super aggressive so they all attack everyone near them to give a more fear inducing kinda feel to the streets during halloween. (though this would probally end up wtih people avoiding nearly everywhere...
I'm fairly certain ToT mobs now latch on pretty firmly to their summoner, and will despawn if left alone long enough.
Plus they drop the Halloween salvage in the '09 version of the event, so there should be a lot fewer abandoned mobs.
Never surrender! Never give up!

Wait, I thought that spawn level were now capped at the zone cap for ToT?
