Update the in-game City Map...

The city map (Map/City tab) in-game has never been updated to reflect stops added to the train lines.

To name just two omissions, there are no Green Line stops indicated in Skyway or Founders' Falls.

The train stops were updated quite a while ago - can't we update the map as well? Could be VERY confusing for newbs.

(I like to "teach a newb to fish" by responding to "How do I get to...?" questions by edumacating them about the City tab on the Map. Can't do that if the map isn't accurate!)

I think he means the city map, ya know, the one that's got an over view of the full city, not just a zone.

While they're updating that, the city map could also use some more contrasting colors. The whole map is very pale, and also looks very blurry and pixelated when zoomed in.

I've just learned that the i15 VidiotMaps overlay release did update the in-game City Map to reflect Train station changes.

But again, new gamers most likely will NOT have VidiotMaps installed when they're starting out - which is precisely when they're gonna need an accurate map, the most.

I don't know crap about programming but I would imagine this is a relatively simple, and important update for the Art Dept.

I mean seriously, can you imagine anything WORSE for a newbie player than providing them with an inaccurate in-game map?

Seems like NCSoft is shooting themselves in the foot on this one.

Yes, it sucks, but it honestly sounds like you're overreacting a bit. Most people don't even know there IS a city-wide map, and most players are more likely to figure out where the green line stops are by clicking on the tram.

I'd also appreciate it if they fixed Founders' map to include the University (icon's there, actual map visual is not).

We could ask the devs nicely to incorporate the Vidiotmaps updates as the official maps?

It would have to be sans the badge/plaque/event markers though.

Great little utility, true, but .. not really something I could picture the devs wanting to just hand to absolutely everyone.

(I'd laugh though if I found out several of the devs use the vidiot maps too >.>)

I don't see that happening. However, NCSoft could take a page from Vidiotmaps and update their maps

But hey, if this isn't corrected when GR cosed beta starts, I'm sure someone could bring it up...
