Invincibility sound loop
It doesn't seem to eat my memory either, was playing all night yesterday - no crashes.

The Invinc power's audio is definately askew though, and was really causing lag when I was on a team of 8 killin a GM yesterday, with all that was going on around me, my PC was having trouble activating all that extra audio too.
What I'd really like to know is, in Combat Attributes, if those defense numbers have always bounced around all jittery like that. It almost looks like the invinc is turning itself on and off really fast in an endless loop.
I saw this thread and checked my two Invulnerability toons. My scrapper with fx turned off doesn't have the sound problem and I played for a few missions with no problems.
My tanker has the original fx and has this. I didn't play long enough to test the stability issue I couldn't stand the sound. I sent in a bug report.

Hey, that works! Set my scrapper's Invuln to PVP FX and viola! No annoying sound loop.
Why did they not fix this already?
Well on top of the sound loop, on my female inv/ tanker Invincibility doesn't even show FX anymore. I double checked the power customization to see if a glitch had made it slip into NO FX option but it's still on the original setting, no customization, but still doesn't show FX. In the costume editor it shows the FX delayed after a couple of second in the preview, not in sync with the animation.

Presumably they know about it now and we shouldn't harass them, but it's been over a month and several patches haven't mentioned it (and your post is the first mention I could find). I don't want to pester, but I don't want to be so quiet no one notices. It sure would be nice to know if this is one of those bugs people are unaware of (and it would be useful to keep trying to bring it to their attention) or a "known issue."

I thought our issues with the sounds and VFX for Invincibility were fixed...they may have just not made it into a full build yet. (We've been making a lot of incremental builds lately).
[edit]Looking into it, it doesn't work the way I thought it would work. This was one of those changes where I did half the work, and then it got booted over to one of the powers guys to make the rest of the change...so it slipped off our radar to vet it..
Just to be absolutely clear, the repeating/looping sound when in range of enemies should be fixed...now we're just talking about the VFX not being there anymore. Correct?

I am getting the disappearing visual effect issue. In the costume creator power customization screen, there's a hesitation, the effect appears briefly, and then it vanishes. In normal play, I just don't see the "rays emanating from my torso" effect of Inv at all.

Say...while we've got him here, can anyone tell us if Spines power customization color is savable yet? It's been a while since I last tried, but as of the launch night of power customization, the game won't even create a save file name for spines, and they revert to a different color (red in my case, don't know if it's random) every time I exit the creator and re-enter.

I'm playing a character with Invincibility right now. I haven't gotten the sound loop since it was fixed, though I did when it was bugged. The activation sound plays correctly when I switch it on.
The particle effect is missing. It only appears just as I free a hostage. I'm not entirely sure, but I think some Rubbles or Shards have to spawn as I free the hostage for the aura to show.
Edit: No, just freeing a hostage will trigger the particle effect.
... yeah, this is very irritating. The sound and the lack of visual effects both.
