Character creation date

I would like to see the creation date for my characters in-game. Perhaps it could be found in-game by clicking on an NPC citizen. Not the most critical of things to ask for, but I was interested in determining just how old some of my many characters are.

This is all based on the assumption that when characters are created there is a date stamp saved somewhere in the back-end.

Vet badges really do not do the trick as they are account based. Someone else had the clever idea of using the date/time info that is available for badges listed in the Most Recent category. However, that category is restricted to only 50 badges, which is not going to work if you have, say, 51 badges.

I wonder if the date/time stamp for badges earned could be applied to badges outside of the Most Recent category. That would kinda solve my request, as I could get a good guess at my creation date by looking at the date my first badge was earned.

/meh.

It seems like something useless that people are gonna use as the basis of judging a few people (not many people use Vet badges as it is, to begin with).

As a "purely out of curiosity" thing... yeah, actually, I wouldn't mind seeing that either. I'd *assume* (there's that word) that either the file or database entry would have some creation date, as well.

Though if they ever got the Vault up and running, I'd think it's more likely to see it *there.*

Bill, please don't make jokes like that. If we can't trust you for our seriousface, who can we trust?!

But like I've said... I asked them about it at the comic con, and they told me what was wrong with it and that it's NOT completely dead... so someday, we may see this feature there.

I too would like it there, though in the game would suit me fine too, I like knowing those things.

I can usually guesstimate this fairly easily. Most of my characters made in 2005 or later were picked up by my super group within a day or two of their creation. So their super group join date is their date of creation, or at best a day off.

This is a good idea, but does not work well for my toons. The VG I am in hit max capacity in mid 2006. We created an alt VG and moved less active characters there to make room for new blood in the original VG. As VG membership limits have been expanded since then, this may not be an issue for most folks going forward.

Also, I believe I moved one of my toons out of my current VG for a night to do some IoP raiding....

Indeed I remember that night was the last before the purge.

Back on track I am fine with this cause you are the only one who would really take notice to what the npc said. So it would not be a measuring tool for cherry picking teams.

Which purge?
It took the Devs several "purges" over roughly a year to finally get rid of all of the IoPs.
Just a sad bit of trivia as a footnote to a unfortunately handled situation...
