Purchasing character slots w/out CC?

I have two accounts. My second account is currently set up to bill through Paypal. I'd like to buy more character slots for this account, but I'm not allowed to because I have no credit card on file for this account.

Is there a way around this?

Also, I've gone into account management and I see no option anywhere to add a credit card. When I go to Billing Summary, my only option is to cancel my account.

I'd buy character slots in the store (via the web or via the character selection screen) if it would let me.

I have money. Why doesn't NCSoft want me to spend it?

I didn't even think about PayPal and the In Game Store. I wonder if they did when they made it?

Anyway, there's no longer a place to just add a credit card, sadly. Instead, you'll have to pull up the page for the account set up to use PayPal, and click the "Subscribe To Game" or "Purchase Additional Time" link. Both links take you to the exact same page.

As long as you're not due to resub at that moment, just go through the steps to add 1 month, and enter the info for the Credit Card you would like to add. Since it won't bill you until your current time runs out, you'll be fine.

Then, go into the game, and buy your extra slot(s). When you're done, log out, go back to your PlayNC Master Account, and click on the link to remove your card. Then, click either the "Subscribe To Game" or "Purchase Additional Time" link again, and set it back up to use your PayPal account.

Yes, it's very much a pain, but as far as I can tell, that's your only option.

Thanks. In order to do all of that, I first had to cancel my account. I wasn't even given the option to add more time unless i first cancelled my account.

Forcing me to cancel my account in order to purchase more character slots != a well thought-out sales strategy.

But it did work. ^_^

Yeah, kind of a poorly thought out system. Maybe you should contact PlayNC Support, and tell them what you had to do, and suggest that they make things a little more user-friendly.

Anyway, I'm glad you were able to get your slots, even though you had to jump through all kinds of hoops! Alt-on!

Just submit a ticket through your PlayNC.com account that is associated with the game account you're speaking of.

i had to do the same thing. and no, it doesn't affect the loyalty. it's accumulated time with a paid account, not consecutive. it bugs me, though, that you can buy anything at all with paypal, except character slots. dumbdumbdumb.
