Going old school

So with Issue 16 I rolled up a Radiation/Fire blaster, colored the fire green to match my rad and went to town.
After the sewer team got me to level 7 I started to do the usual jog over to KR for my raptor pack. Then I stopped and stared at the blimp over Atlas.

It reminded me of the feeling I used to get playing this game. Way back when we didn't have Safeguard temp powers, or vet rewards. Back when the Hollows meant lots of running and dying.
So...

I decided to roll this guy old school. No jet pack, no IO's (until the 30's anyways) just good ol running and avoiding spawns.

He's currently got Frostfire ready to go. Plan on melting him later tonight.
I've found that I indeed was missing something by flying from level 6 on.
There is something... visceral, in figuring out how to skirt by that spawn of trolls without getting aggro.

Anyways, on to my question(s)

It's been ages since I've done the low level content. I've skipped the Hollows ever since I realized you could. Needless to say I'm a little rusty on the arcs before level 25 or so.
I'm wanting to run the Faultline arcs with this guy.
I know they go from 15-25 but is there an optimal level to start at?

If I decide to leave the Hollows after finishing Flux's Arc what would be my best course of action to hit 14? Was debating trying to solo the Posi TF at -1.

Any other suggestions are welcome naturally. Once he gets to Croatoa level I'll be more adept on where to go what to do.

Just for reference, I mainly solo. Usually going the radio missions/Safeguard grind to 22.

Well, I'd say actually FINISH the Hollows arc, up to and including the Trial of Trancendance. See, you'll ALWAYS gain XP now, (no more losing XP due to being Level capped), so being at the level cap for a trail or story arc won't hamper your gains. Also, you wont get stuck with the arc clues for ever (my 50 blaster still has a "burnt shoe" in his clue box >_>). Though i'd still reccomend doing Posi afterward, and maybe even Synapse.

You'll wanna be closer to 20-25 when you hit Faultline... some of the arcs take you deep into the red part of the zone, and you face some nasty EBs, so you'll need all the extra powers (and stamina) you can get your hands on.

After that, you can hit Striga, do the misisons and 2 TFs, then be high enough for Sister Psyche, then Croatoa. From there it'll all be familiar territory, i'm sure =)

Start faultline right at 15 if you can. I always manage to outlevel Penny which is a shame since you can miss out of a couple of nice goodies her arc gives.

Most of the story-arc-zones follow this rule: The first two contacts are in a five level range, and the next two are in the next higher five level range.

Hollows: first two are 5-9; second two are 10-14.
Faultine: first two are 15-19; second two are 20-24.
Striga: 20-24; 25-29
Croatoa: 25-29; 30-35

Start Faultline at 15. If you stick to the story arcs they shouldn't send you into the red zone until you get to Agent G. Besides, if you liked dodging purple Trolls in Grendel's Gulch then you'll love dodging purple Arachnos in the dam.
