Fly Poses as part of power customization
That's an interface change, not a mechanic change. All you're changing is where you're seeing the ability to apply a flypose. It doesn't suddenly solve the problem of actually allowing you to select a flypose in a method other than as already exists.
We'll always have Paragon.

If I'm disregarding what you say, it's only because you're not paying close enough attention to what you've been told. You are under the mistaken impression that just engineering one pool and using the existing poses is somehow easier and therefore faster. No one has to be an expert to tell you that's wrong. We're not guessing. It's an obvious fact based on things we've been told.
I suppose the issue Im having is the INSISTENCE that Im refering to multi pools. Its as if youre disregarding what i said altogether. Sure, working on ALL the pools will certainly take time, especially if they dont actually have alternate animations or colors (and colors is mad work). BUT since Im ONLY refering to flight, which HAS the animations done (and NO colors) - IF they go that angle (and release only FLIGHT poses for now) - I dont think it will be as much work as you suggest. (Which is a redundant statement considering.)
Its as if you are just 'defending' the devs with guesses/assumptions for something that isnt an attack in the first place. Now regardless of how easy/difficult it'd be to add the FLIGHT poses ONLY, would they - I guess not, but all Im saying is that it seems silly not too IF infact its easy(ier). |
The main task for allowing pools to be customized is an engineering one. That means if you do it for Flight you do it for all pools. That has very little to do with BaB and the FX crew. You keep harping that just doing Flight would be easier, just like before we had PC, people kept harping that just doing a few sets would be easy, and therefore should be done.
That's not how it works. Easy in terms of programming is a very different thing. In the world, it is easier just to chop enough wood for a fire tonight than it is to chop for the entire winter. In programming, it's often easier to revamp a system from the ground up, or make a batch addition that covers a lot of ground, than it is to go in and tweak a thing or two.
On top of that, you seem to confuse Easy with Taking the least time. Just doing the Flight Pool may be less man hours now, but they're man hours that would just have to be repeated when they go back and do all the other pools. The systems are interlinked, and doing a partial conversion isn't really an option.

We've been saving Paragon City for eight and a half years. It's time to do it one more time.
