A few questions from a returning Vet

Hey all, so I'm back after a little while now. Not sure how long. But anyway, I got on today and noticed a few things that I cant explain.

The first being:

My primary tier 9 and secondary tier 8 in Siren's Call? Why am I able to use these powers now?

Secondly:

I have a crab spider... Well, his FIRST build is crab spider, his second is bane. For some reason I cant get rid of the crab backpack for one of my costumes. Anyway around this? Or do I need to keep the huge target on my back while PvPing Bane style..?

Thirdly:

I only had 2 questions... But the was I started the post sorta makes it so I cant have just 2 things to ask...

With i16 and Super Sidekicking, Exemp/Malfactoring was changed so you get to keep powers up to 5 levels higher than the level you're lowered to.

Known bug, no fix other than spec'ing out of ALL the crab powers on both builds.. so not really a reasonable fix

A slight quibble here. It is NOT on the known issues list, and IIRC, is not something that is being looked at to be "fixed" as technically it is working as intended.

It's not on the Known Issues list, because that's not how the Known Issues list works. It lists issues that have an impact on gameplay and/or can be worked around. In the case of known issues with regards to a specific issue, the list is used for bug reporting purposes, to let testers know the devs don't need reports on them.

The Issue with Crab Spider backpack has no actual impact on gameplay, and we've been told has to do with the way the power was engineered, and is not a bug. Just an undesired side effect of the way the VEAT branching system, the dual build system, and the FX scripting system interact.

It's not working as intended, it's working wrong because there's no way to make it right without extensive engineering time. They were looking for a way to fix it short of that, but didn't find one. Now we wait until they can schedule time to do so.

If they were to try and list every bug on the Known Issues List, it would be dozens of pages. BaB has said in the past that the Bug Log is pretty much too big to print.

I was still under the impression that it was not going to be fixed, mostly for technical reasons, but also because it matches the storyline of how a Crab becomes a Crab... by having the legs fused to his spine via the "backpack."

Also, I guess I should have not mentioned the Known Issues List... I was aware of how it works, but posted in kind of a knee-jerk kind of way. Hence, my careless use of the term.

Unless there's a dev post on the subject somewhere, this is a player manufactured justification.
