Spines/?
You'll still get redraw with Ninjitsu.
SR won't give you any headaches, though, as far as regen is concerned.
Rise to the Challenge still requires mobs to increase regen same as scrappers. You replace QR with a heal, so that's one power (again) for redraw.
TBH, my Nin/Nin deals with the redraw, its not too bad.
53 Bots/FF/Mace Mastermind | 53 NRG/FF/Electricity Defender | 50 Time/Dual Pistols/Soul Defender | 50 Demons/FF/Mace Mastermind | 51 Necro/Dark/Soul Mastermind | 50 Thugs/Time/Mace Mastermind | 50 Ice/Ice/Arctic Tanker | 50 Plant/Rad/Earth Controller | 50 Illusion/Trick Arrow Controller | 50 Gravity/Force Field Controller
Yes, I like Force Fields.
Stalker Willpower does not have Rise to the Challenge. It was replaced with a click heal like Regen's Reconstruction. So no, being in a group of enemies has no effect on your resistance, defense or regeneration rates.
Ninjutsu will still cause you redraw because it has a click heal, click mez protection and caltrops/blinding powder. Super Reflexes only has the click mez protection that will cause redraw. Willpower only has the click heal that causes redraw.
I've never had any significant redraw issues with my Spines/Ninjutsu, however it is, nonetheless, something you will see on occasion if you go that route. If you want to be completely redraw free, your only option, really, is going to be /SR.
Thank you guys for the information.
It sounds like /Ninjitsu, /Willpower or /Super Reflexes would all be acceptable in terns of redraw and freedom of movement (meaning that I don't have to be surrounded by enemies to get benefits).
So, which of these is the best in your opinions?
I have heard that a defense-based secondary might be better so that you can perform assassin stikes while being attacked if the attacks miss. Is this a significant consideration?
Thanks again for any help!
Just go Ninjistu

Thanks for clarifying Leo, I had a brain fart and was thinking about scrappers again. Not that I think about scrappers at the wrong times or places, mind you... ^_^

But if anything, OP, I'd just go with concept...or whatever set sounds fun. I had a blast with my Spines/Dark not because it was easy or 'the best' but because it had a different playstyle and fit my character's concept. He's sitting at lvl 39 not because I don't want to play him but because I'm an altaholic. About 99.68% of my characters range from lvl 22-41 and 0% are lvl 50
Do you plan on pvp'n at all? If so go regen or WP and you will get a lot of kills with spines. WP would be my first choice but regen is very tough to kill.
I could use a little help picking a secondary for my a new stalker I want to make. I'd gonna go with spines, now that they look sooo good.
I'm thinking either /SR or /Ninjitsu to avoid the weapons redraw of /Regen. I like No FX on my characters. /Willpower might work but do you have to be in the middle of enemies to get bonuses? Not sure how /Willpower works for stalkers. Thanks for any advice! |
No love for Elec armor? =(
