New Difficulty Slider and the Solo Tank
I've been playing with the Difficulty Slider and have settled (for now) around the 6-8 Man Team size and between +1 to +2 (for starters).
Settings/Sets tested so far:
Shield/Fire/Pyre- 6 +2 (no problem will try +3 next)
Ice/Fire/Energy- 8 +2 (no problem will try +3 next)
Fire/SS/Pyre - 8 +2 (no real problem, I have to watch her health (no Def))
Invuln/Fire (lvl 37)8 +1 (End issues still...so until I sort that out...)
Fire/Ice/Energy 6 +2 (seems okay, I'll probably increase to 8)
I must say I do like the new difficulty slide a lot! Well done Devs!!

L35 Shield/SS I'm running at +0 x8 - nice challenge and good fun (mainly trying to manage End especialy with the Rage crash).
One question around scaling - is it hard coded?
If I invite addtional team members for a mission will it scale at all to make it more difficult?

6 man teams with lvl 52's.... again this issue gives me my elec tank AND auto fillers...i cant ask for anything else and that alone makes it the best issue in 2 years imo
my elec tank is LOVING it!
Did they increase the number of tickets per map? I have not been to AE since I16 dropped. (I need to adjust my farm mission enemies for minions and Bosses and have not had the time yet.)

As most of you know I tend to Solo alot. It is what a Fire tank is best at after all. Between other projects I spend my time on old trusts, an IOed out Fire/SS/Fire that enjoys tearing apart large groups.
I have to say that the new difficulty settings have given me a new lease on life and will most likely keep me from my usual haunting grounds, farming in RWZ.
I like to run my AE as a testbed, I know how it works, what to expect, and the tricks around some of the difficult sections. Normally I can finish it off in 1/2 hour with 0 deaths and net about 1200-1500 tickets.
In testing I found my happy medium. +2 levels above me, Equivalent of 5 Heroes, and no Bosses or AV's. This scales down bosses to LT's, and EBs to bosses.
At this level I had 3 deaths and it took over an hour to complete the same mission, netting me 2200 tickets last night, 1920 the previous night.
Whats the point Cal? Nothing really, except to state that the new difficulty selections are a godsend. They let us create a challenge that surpasses the simple "Too hard or Too Easy" syndrome that we have faced in the past.
On a side note, LOVE the new SS animations. Ground punch and Haymaker really stand out as making me feel...well...super. I know nothing has changed in the numbers but the look screams super to me.
