This is my first scapper. She's level 11 now and so far so good. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Redo!

Static shield at level 10! As a scrapper you want your mez protection as soon as it's available. Taking it at level 30 is a terribad decision.

I don't think I can play a build that has havoc punch and thunderstrike as the only attacks until you take chain induction at 26. I'd spec in charged brawl and then respec out of it after you get high enough to get other attacks.

Epic choices are bad too. Why bother with physical perfection when you have power sink and energize in your secondary? Also, Laser Beam Eyes is at best a filler attack. At least energy torrent has knockdown which can be used as a soft control. Also, I never take the self rez on a scrapper. Power surge is very skippable...how often are you planning to die?

I'd also take lightning field much later when you can afford the endurance to run it, post level 20.

As for slotting...er, let's say your slotting can be much improved all the way around. Mostly, your problem comes down to you seemingly wanting to just stick in random sets and not really caring that much about the global bonuses other than small recharge bonuses. You want certain other bonuses, particularly melee defense and +hps.

Just a quick correction, Power surge is a god mode, not a rez

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Power Surge
When you activate this power, you transform your body into living Electricity and become extremely resistant to all damage but Psionics, as well as Disorient, Sleep, Hold, Immobilize, Knockback, End Drain, Recovery DeBuff, and enemy Teleportation. Your Endurance recovery is also increased. As Power Surge wears off, the charge in your body explodes in a massive EMP pulse. However, expending all this energy will leave you exhausted, and drained of almost all Health and Endurance.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It is a very fun power, have it on my elec/elec brute.

Yep. I read that wrong in Mid's and must have mistaken the power for something else. I got into my head that +res = res (as in resurrect). In any case, the power as is in the build posted above is mislotted.

Charged Brawl > Havoc Punch. People need to quit spreading misinformation.

Charged Brawl: 52.55 damage (57.8 w/ 10% crit), 1.056 sec activation time, 49.7 DPA (54.7 w/ 10% crit)
Havoc Punch: 82.58 damage (90.8 w/ 10% crit), 1.716 sec activation time, 48.1 DPA (52.9 w/ 10% crit)

And that's completely ignoring the fact that Charged Brawl recharges faster so it's easier to fit into attack string and that it will be available substantially more often to provide its superior DPA.

Havoc Punch is the attack you are going to take at low levels to fill out your attack string and then spec out of later whenever you've got enough recharge. Charged Brawl is gold. Don't just pay attention to the tier of the attack. It's more important to pay attention to the actual attributes of the power.

I have a ELM/FIRE/BLAZE build I'm working on. To get a decent amount of defense for my build...I couldn't go CI->CB->JL->CB->Repeat (Roughly 138 DPS...after slotting...ect)

So I tried CB->JL->CI->Fire Blast->Repeat (Roughly 145 DPS...after slotting...ect).

Couldn't quite get enough recharge to keep the attack chain seemless. Had about .5 second pause.

So...I switched it to HP->JL->CI->FB->Repeat (Roughly 143 DPS...same as other two). Attack chain has no pause, and I lose 2 DPS.

So I guess the question would be, would the .5 second pause lower the DPS of the one chain by only 1 or 2 DPS? Would they be the same? Either way, with a difference of 2 DPS, I doubt it'll be noticable.

This is not taking into account Build Up or Fiery Embrace for DPS btw.

Assuming that you didn't calculate the wait into the other attack string, you'd have a drop of roughly roughly 12 DPS thanks to that wait. Honestly, if there is a question of CB + .5 sec wait or HP and no wait, you're going to be best off with Havoc Punch simply because, for that instance, you're comparing a 1.584 second functional animation Charged Brawl (1.056 sec animation + .528 sec wait) against a 1.716 second functional animation Havoc Punch. Of course Havoc Punch is going to be better whenever you get rid of the animation time advantage that Charged Brawl is packing.
