How long does it typically take to complete the copy. Here is the message I got -
"Your character has queued for copy to the PTS. This process may take up to 30 minutes to complete."
But there's no timer or anything. How do I know if it's done or not ?
It'll be done when the character is on the test server... so just log in to check. It typically takes a minute+, depending on the load (5-10 minutes is pertty reasonable time). I typically log all the way out then back in to recheck, not sure if just backing up to the server selection screen would work.

Sorry for the newbie questions but when it's done will the Test Server be on the server selection screen ? Right now it's not there.
You are using the test server client, right? If you see Freedom, Virtue, etc, then that's not the test server client.

How To Get on Test Server & Character Copy Tool
To make the process faster, it's recommended to COPY the current client into your Test server directory (once created) and simply let the Test Client run a smaller patch on itself rather than have to deal with a full re-download.

I have only done this once before and that was about 4 years ago.
How do you copy your character to the test server ?
I want to do that, then use a respec and find out if my new arrangement will work or not.
