Wait, what the heck just happened?

Is there an xp cut if you are being exemplared? Cause I have a friend who joined the game yesterday. He was Lv1, I was Lv2. I got exemplared down to his level to run his missions and it took HOURS (at least 3-4 hours) just to hit Level 6! I can usually hit Lv6 in like an hour to an hour and a half, so this was ridiculous. @_@

What were you doing? killing 1 npc per hour? ive not had this problem yet. Specially not at that low of a lvl.

No, we were running missions in Atlas Park. It was just a team of two, but nonetheless, it was ridiculously slow. @_@

Well, being a newb. I like the fact that I can now run with all my RL friend who have been playing this game since it's inception without having to ask them to play lower level Characters to accomidate me.

running on a team yesterday with 2 above me and one below. We all got XP and I did have the 2 higher lvl toons scream woot when they got another power to use when I did lvl. We were doing my mission just to make things easyer for the one that was working on getting there travel power.

The slider bars work and if I didnt know about those I would have gotten a bit upset each time I zoned.. there are times I will click the door and use that time to get a drink. I got back with a couple secs left before it auto kicked me.

Under options you have the ability to auto accept sk's or exemps from 1-50. It's a slider bar. Go check it out. First two options under General. Team Options.

I realize I can change the level of the mission and how many people are in it, etc, but that doesn't mean I wanted to give up teams ranging in 5 levels.

I find that this makes it easier to form teams, especially for higher level missions. It took hours to get enough Level 50s to SK all the Level 32s that wanted in on a Praetorian arc.

And besides we're not supposed to be in this for the PL's. We're in this for the PURPLE DROPS, CMON PURPLE!

One other thing: last night I ran a Positron TF with a Level 40... somehow, the rules of autoexemping allow you to keep powers at least 5 levels above the TF cap... meaning that if you had Stamina chosen at Level 20 you had Stamina for Posi TF (SONOFA... YES YES YES). That plus the fact I still got XP for my level 40 Blaster - actually now a Level 41 WOOT - made this an awesome upgrade to the game...

With the +5 powers when exemping, some of the best exp in the game would be in the sewers. get a team of 7 all exemped down and 1 low lvl to lead, and bam, the sewers are a breeze with extra powers and you get awesome xp's

Yeah the more and more we play with the system the more and more I find I like about it. Plus seeing as I'm trying to get day jobs badges on my badger, I'm constantly playing other toons and they are constantly getting patrol xp. Together it all makes sense.
