thugs or mercs /therm for zone pvp?
Thugs.
Would be cool if you could make an argument for it. Just saying "thugs" isn't discussing anything, but that's just me.
I'll pitch in for Mercs, they keep at range and in your group fly radius, dish out some very nice ST dps from said range, and are great when loaded with procs. /thugs has more on the survivability by a long shot, but that extra durability is reserved for the pets and the bruiser will have to be in melee to deal noticeable damage, on the edge of you group flight.
The same ranged advantage also applies to non-GF scenarios. Also, though it's minor, your medic has a mez-protection in its stimulant, unlike every other mez-protect in PvP which was turned into resist, if it's on you you're essentially immune to mezzes for a while.

Also, have a crazy idea about group fly and mercs/therm. Good or bad? Of course with assault/tactics. Just a little bothered with MM mobility and looking for new ways to get around.
