Has anyone mentioned Tsoo Sorcerors yet? I hate those [censored]s.

City of Heroes taught me that when the world is burning, you don't just stand by and watch, you grab a fire extinguisher and do whatever you can to stop it-even if it's not much at all. Sign the petition to keep City of Heroes alive HERE.

I'm curious how you are going to handle the level spread of the nightmare enemies that have been mentioned already.

Q: How do you wreck an Abrams?

A: You crash into another one.

I'm curious too... I haven't quite figured that out yet myself.

They'll still be available, but will spawn as greys, so things like the Skull bosses aren't going to be the threat presented here. On the other hand, fighting Overseers at level 15 isn't something that I want to comprehend.

Maybe multiple missions?

That's what I was going to say, multiple short missions based on relative threat level.

I started grouping the enemies together by overlapping levels. That didn't work as well as I had planned. I put together a group of enemies from the list we compiled so that the overlapping level was 20. Some were 1-20, others were 10-27. Unfortunately, the level was then set to 27 and those that capped at 20 were stuck at 20.

The only ones that seemed to work properly were the upper level enemies, but I suspect even that would break if I used a character that was under level 40.

Is there an option that I'm missing where we can set (force) the level of the mission and the enemies in it?

I have good news, I have bad news, and I have ugly news...

The bad news: I can't get the level ranges for all of the enemies to work properly, so many of the lower level ones aren't going to make it into the arc.

The good news: I have a decent story framework and I will be able to fit in a few more "volunteers".

The ugly news: There isn't an option for a Shadow Cyst Crystal enemy. There is one for a destructible object, and I have a way to make it an interesting fight.

The arc still needs to be polished. But I think it's ready to be published and given a play through.

A handful of people have already seen it in test mode, but I think it needs to be played through with a team to see if it's working as intended (the intention being hard, but possible).

Who's interested in forming a team with me to specifically play through this arc?

fixed

And as for testing your arc, you know I'll help you out if I'm on.

I would be interested, if only to see what you've put my poor No-Bana through.

It all depends on when, with my crazy-*** schedule...

As of last night, after adding context sensitive NPC chatter, I ran into a problem.

I can't test nor publish the arc.

I don't see any errors on the arc editing screen, but when I choose to "Save and Test" the arc I get an error dialog box with the message "Level range invalid" repeated twice.

When I save the arc, and view it in the local arc selection window, I notice the final mission of the arc has a level range of 8375927-54 (the first set of number seems to be random), while the first two missions show 1-54 and 41-45.

I've gone as far as removing the custom enemy groups, the custom enemy, and even the custom allies. The only time it seems to fix itself is when I remove all of the custom details (custom enemy group, ambushes, collections, allies, custom boss) and leave only a standard boss to defeat.

Has anyone seen this before?

You could try going into the .storyarc file and poking around for something out of place.

So I kept fiddling around with it until I had narrowed down exactly what the problem was.

It was the patrols of the custom enemy group.

Go figure.

The story arc is now published... if you guys have any feedback, I'd love to hear it.

Fears and Nightmares

Are you strong enough to face the consolidated fears of every super to walk through Architect Entertainment?

To Red Valkyrja (Angel Red), Archiviste (No-Bana), Blazing Blue (Blazing Blue), and Sooner (Sooner Spirit)...
Thanks for loaning your characters to me, I hope you like what I did with them.

I've been having problems with objective placement within the maps. I appears that I'm not the only one with this problem.
