Arcs by Clave Dark 5
Just a quick note that I've updated some of the text in Day Job Hell and spell checked it to boot. I had some problems with some of my changes not actually saving so let me know if you see anything that looks odd or doesn't seem to line up story-wise, etc.
The player who gave it 3 stars didn't leave any feedback sadly or I'd be happy to address it here or consider making changes. Kind of depressing getting "only" a 3 compared to the 4s and 5s I'm used to on my first couple of arcs, but I guess you can't please everyone. Still, it would have been nice to know what they didn't like about it. Then again, the changes I made that didn't save could have made the whole thing look sloppy too.
At least that's fixed now.
Day Job Hell has had a few more plays and now averages 4 stars like the other arcs. One player who left a comment (of two) said they felt the maps were too big - seeing as how this was my first arc for lowbies, I can see that might be a concern. If anyone else feels the same, please let me know and I'll take a look at changing them.
Also, BUNNYGIRLS has had some costume updates! A recent player noted that when teaming, being attacked by a mass of such similar-looking foes struck him/her as a bit dull, so I've changed the colors and a few other details on a number of them. Looking back on it, I should have done this awhile ago - player feedback delivers again! Now it looks like an angry rabbity-rainbow of buxom bunnies trying to take over the world!
Not to sound too bloggy here but I'm going to enter BUNNYGIRLS into the Architect Awards as it seems to be the most popular, not even just based on just number of plays. So wish me luck! I'm sure I'm going to need it as there's a lot of great arcs out there.
As always, thanks for playing plus leaving feedback and I hope you enjoy these little stories I've spun.
Just a quick note on DayJob Hell:
A recent player said he/she was having trouble with some of the objectives spawning in the last mission. They are all in there and he/she got it to work (after playing it three times!). If this happens to you, bug it (and try it again ). It shouldn't happen again though; I just ran it and all is fine with it.
He/she also told me that in the third mission, they didn't know there was an inside portion of the map and suggested I drop a hint about that in the text. While I haven't gotten to that yet (and I may; still pondering it and how to do it) - be warned!
Also, the first player to leave a comment said something about "all the glowies". I dropped in a LOT of glowies that are NOT needed to complete the missions to keep down the number of foes. Every time I'm starting a new toon I get annoyed at all the downtime resting and I figured that larger numbers of foes, meaning more battles, would lead to having to "take a knee" enough times that the play-time of the arc might get too long. Also, once you've clicked one for the flavor text you can happily breeze right past the rest.
If anyone has any comment on that or maybe a suggestion about how to rejigger the arc, I'm all ears.
I'm the player who didn't realise there was an interior section to that map-i'm assuming that the glowies DID spawn the first three times, but as they spawn inside, i just didnt see them.

The Echo, Arc ID 1688 (5mish, easy, drama)
The Audition, Arc ID 221240 (6 mish, complex mech, comedy)
Storming Citadel, Arc ID 379488 (lowbie, 1mish, 10-min timed)
Of all your arcs, I liked A.E.'s Premium Quality Mission: "guaranteed qualityyyyLOADING ERROR 0.000459" ID#148476 best. Especially the way it reminded me of a certain game and how support works there.
The other two were nice as well. I had to try out the bunnygirls of course as I don't want to have more competition (there can be only one real Gunbunny out there). The villains first day job was interesting if you look for a reason why you became a villain. Problem is that when you got a background this will clash with it. So for me that one was not right.
Keep up the good work.

The story I told would probably clash with a lot of my own toons; I don't RP much but I do understand it's important to a lot of other players. I've even played through some hero content with my villains (GR here we come!), and played through this with a 'troller I recently started! Anyways, I was thinking that players who're less stringent about this issue (and are REALLY tired of snakes) will be flexible enough will just play and read the story. I'm sorry to hear it didn't work for you because of that.
Thanks for replying; your little heads-up there may help players who wish to stick to their character's "canon" give this a miss. I'd hate to have someone play through my stuff and dislike for any reason.
As for bunny competition, would it upset you to hear that I took one of the bosses (Watership Doom) from that arc and used her as the template for an MM I have?

I was going to not name names, to let you preserve your dignity... I was just a little worried someone might go to play that arc and see the comments you left about things not working, then not read too far or closely and bail without trying.

Quick update:
After getting side tracked with the Halloween event and waiting for the Player Awards to end, I've updated DayJob Hell, based on all the great feedback I got from the voters in said awards (which it only placed fourth in, but I was still very glad to be in it at all - just look at the number of plays my just-published arc got).
There will probably be a tad bit more tinkering here and there, but just small things like a word here and there in the text (unless a very particular map shows up finally :P) - so what are you waiting for? Give it a spin and have fun!
Just a quickj note about my arc A.E.'s Premium Quality Mission: "guaranteed qualityyyLOADING ERROR 0.000459 ID#: 101165:
In the MA window it may come up saying it has AVs or an elite boss in it - LIES! I went over the arc with a fine toothed comb, deleted all the bosses and added them back and the message still came up. I ended up sending a bug report and was told it's a bug they're looking into. So play without fear, k?
Hi everyone! I've just published my third mission, so I've decided to put up a thread listing all of them again so that I can let people know as I adjust them as I get feedback and so on. The first two had their own threads when they were originally published, but the board ate them back before it was set to not lose threads. So without further ado...
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
TOO MANY BUNNYGIRLS!
Arc ID#: 101165
Length: Medium
Morality: Neutral (leans heroic)
Enemy Groups: custom
Description: "You can't swing a dead cat around here without hitting another stupid bunnygirl mission. Ugh. Someone should do something about them, once and for all. Someone like you. (story, humor, rabbit puns; best for higher levels but not too hard; 5 Bosses, no EBs or AVs)"
Fight bunnygirls and try to stop a super-celebrity tabloid from publishing embarrassing pictures of yourself! I made this one based off some silly discussion with my girlfriend, and it probably shows. Funnily enough, the plot is pretty tight regardless... not sure how that happened!
Currently at 4 stars with 125 plays.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
A.E.'s Premium Quality Mission: "guaranteed qualityyyLOADING ERROR 0.000459
Arc ID#: 101165
Length: Long
Morality: Neutral
Enemy Groups: "re-purposed" standard foes (colors+name changed), custom
Description: "We are proud to present this superior A.E. simulation. Our latest advance in technology has been precision-crafted to provide you with the best entertainment possibbbbb(LOADING_ERROR x.000352 CONTACT A.I. DEPT. AT ONCE) [Errors can be funny! SFMA, funny, story, HFMA - two bosses, no EBs or AVs]"
Description says it all. Orange text at the bottom of the listing says it has EBs in it but it doesn't. I went over it and ended up bugging it. The devs said it's just a bug.
Currently at 4 stars with 62 plays.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Day Job Hell: A Villain's First Day Job
Arc ID#: 322480
Length: Long
Morality: Villainous
Enemy Groups: ClockWork, Tuatha de Dannan, "re-purposed" standard foes (colors+name changed)
Description: " The touching and somewhat humorous coming-of-age story of how your villain rose from a job in the sewers of Mercy to become a true villain. [Lowbie villain arc lvls 1-10. Guaranteed snake free! Custom groups='repurposed' standards. Added Boss spawns as a Lt. on Difficulty setting 1. LBMA, SFMA]"
Take your villain from zero to hero! Wait, that didn't come out right... but you get the idea. Your new villain needs a place to start and getting a couple of dayjob badges seems as good as anything, but the only place that will have you is the Mercy Island Sewer Works, run by a man known as Fats Squalor. The first two missions have an ally to help you if your pretty weak, and they both reappear in the final one to help with the boss fight. Learn to hate your job, your friends and to turn that burning rage into what it takes to become a true villain. This one's a bit more serious than the previous two but not by lots, really.
I've tested it with a few level 1 squishes (without using any vet powers) and they all did ok on difficulty setting 1. Good for a few levels if you're at the lower end of one to ten; if not, it's still fun and has no snakes!
Currently at 5 stars (!) with 38 plays.

Please feel free to post any questions or comments here about these missions. I'm open to hear anything from anyone and promise to give serious consideration to suggestions made. Without the many great feedback replies I've gotten in the past, these wouldn't be half as fun to play as they are now.
So - I hope you enjoy them and thanks for playing!
