New rating system for AE
OK well I don't ever really have people play my AE storys except friends and SG mates I still think it needs a new rating system instead of stars. What are we in grade 4 "you get 4 gold stars, YAY!"
So here is what I propose if you want to rate someones arc in cost influence/infamy but the person doesn't get this influence/infamy it just vanishes like WW/BM fees. I just think gold stars are a lame way to rate anything and it would be good for it to cost something to rate. What do you guys think? And their rating would be now how ever much influence/infamy people gave it |

Who would rate anything anymore? It wouldn't benefit the player, and it wouldn't benefit the arc author.
Just try not to think "kindergarten" when you rate with stars...think movie review, or expensive restaurant.
Arc 55669 - Tales of the PPD: One Hell of a Deal (video trailer)
Arc 64511 - The Wrecking Ball
Arc 1745 - The Trouble With Trimbles
Arc 302901 - HappyCorpse
What's 100 influence to rate an arc you like, farmers are their for maximum reward so wouldn't rate anything anyway, all new movies suck and I don't much care for restaurants cause my food probably taste better anyway.
I still think it's a good idea
He doesn't like stars. Weren't you paying attention?

I was just using 100 influence as an example and could use any influence amount to rate. The point is their would be an actual list from first to last of who has the highest rating instead of the most ratings.
Edit: oh and I don't like stars
You want something more elaborate than stars? How about "points"?
Or a more detailed rating, such as a grade sheet:
This Arc has: Story: None/Bad/Mediocre/Decent/Excellent Grammar and Spelling: Gibberish/Poor/Decent/Almost Perfect/Flawless Playability: Impossible / Boring / Decent / Good Other: Hated it / Disliked it / Was Okay / Liked it / Loved it |
Were it allowed, I'd give a simple "no" to this, as the various issues with it should be self-evident. However, to comply with the various posting guidelines:
Inf to rate an arc?
But the need to spend it would
In silence result.
Or how about this, to the music of Bohemian Rhapsody:
Pay inf
To rate an arc?
All the arcs that are now up
Are they all just out of luck?
Pay inf?
What would it re-ally prove
But that farmers have more spare inf to spend?
Pay inf, oooooo,
What of all the rated arcs
and their star ratings in the current system?
Influence, infamy, bad basis for a rating.
