Mind/Earth or Plant/Earth?

With Earth Assault around the corner I decided to dump my Earth/Fire (yeah, it's a good combo, but for some reason I just don't like it) and roll a Mind/Earth or Plant/Earth instead.

I haven't tried Mind or Plant before so I'd like to know any opinions from you dominator folks. The character will be mainly solo which is why I chose these two combinations. With Mind I expect it'll be a smoother ride from 1-50 thanks to the first five powers + terrify.

I'm thinking, as a Mind/Earth I could open up with Mass Hypnosis (available at each spawn), Dominate a possible straggler and then just pick them off one by one. Will most probably be too easy solo. The only thing I don't like is that Mind doesn't seem too useful in terms of team play... I could be wrong, though.

Plant/Earth on the other hand, seems like it could deliver more damage what with Roots, Creepers and the Pet going. It also has a safety maneuver in Seeds / Spore Burst. It seems a bit better for teams as well...

Don't delete the character. You might regret it. I've regretted deletions. I'd pay the 6 bucks or whatever for another character slot. I mean, unless the Dominator is under level 30. Keep the Earth/Fire, if you have room.

I dunno. I think the better route is Plant Control. Seeds of Confusion is available every fight, and it makes bad guys clump up as they attack each other. That will be VERY handy for the Earth Assault set, since it has so many melee / short AoE / pbAoE powers.

Mind's control powers are nice, but your plan to pick guys off one at a time doesn't seem to mesh with Earth Assault. Mud Pots and Tremor are going to mess with your AoE sleep and fear action, and Mass Confusion won't be up all that often.

Mind has no -kb powers, which pretty much every earth assault power has in spades so in that sense it would be a good pairing to allow earth to do its thing.

Plant has seeds which clumps enemies and if you haven't noticed mudpots is a very small aoe and fissure is much smaller than the troller version too so having enemies as tight as any melee toon would is pretty important to get much out of earth's later powers.
