Network Issue...any ideas?
if you are playing on an east coast server then see the thread below in this forum about lag on east coast servers. unfortunately it is a bug they know about and say they cannot fix.
This has actually been on-going for about a year and we've just kind of lived with it, but I finally decided I want to try and figure this out. I definitely see more dropped packets playing on east coast servers, but the drops happen no matter what data center I'm playing on.
Its not so much that they cannot fix, but that the solution has to come from a 3rd party that lies outside the direct control of NCSoft.

Yeah i realize that but the end result is they cannot fix it. That's just the reason they cannot fix it.
All i know is that tonight in recluses victory our tank teleported a villain and we all thought it missed a good 90 secs later as we were chasing that person all of a sudden the tp went through and he got away because we all chased. had netgraph running and it was a large block of red and yellow about that time.
They need to offer to pay for the upgrades and research on the other companies to get it fixed as I won't continue paying for a product like this.

You can try PingPlotter and post the results here. Might give you an idea of what company along the way to CoH to pester. If it is one of those in between companies, it'll be a long hard road ahead of you geting through to them, but it may just be worth a shot.
And now the dumb question, Donathius. You have tried turning off and back on your modem/router and all that good stuff? I know, it's been a year and all, I just thought I'd go over the basic questions real quick. Thanks for understanding.
No biggie Mid. Yeah I've done all the usual stuff. I work as a PC/Network technician at a University so I know my way around a network. The thing that gets me is the (apparently) low latency I get when my connection freaks out. I go from a field of "grass" to a green brick in the netgraph with the occasional yellow spike. The odd thing about it is I can still see the mobs moving and (if I've got pets) I can see them attack and I'll even get XP, but the most I can do is stand and watch. So in that way it's not a true LCMS. I'm still getting data, just not sending any.
So my wife and I keep seeing this in our respective netgraphs:
Anyone know how to solve this? Best I can tell it seems to indicate that I'm receiving data from the server, but not sending any. I can move freely, but I can't activate any powers. However if my wife is playing with me I can look on her screen and see that I'm just standing there. It happens whether we use Mac or Windows, however it doesn't happen to either when I play at work with the same computer. So it seems to be an issue with my home Internet connection.
