Day Jobs

I love this idea!
Those are both excellent ideas that I would love to see implemented (in addition to how day jobs currently work). Each Day Job could have a contact that gives missions if you have that particular badge unlocked (Serge/Carson/Lauren/Facemaker's Reps, Guidance Counsellor/The Janitor, the Guy at the front desk at the Midnighter Club, etc). Every five levels they could have a new micro story arc (say three missions) for you to run for some little reward relevant to the day job (in addition to the usual XP/inf/normal drops).

This may inspire me to write and publish some more arcs. I already published one with Serge as the Contact, but I could see so many more possibilities of Contacts unlocked via Day Jobs.
The downside would be that, if there were micro arcs every five levels, there are obsessive folks who would try to get all of the Day Jobs before doing any missions with the character at all.
New story arcs coming soon (ARC IDs will be aded when I finish the arc):
So, you want to join the Hellions? (level 1-14 Villainous arc)
Sparks & Steel (level 5-20 Heroic arc)
and
So you want to join the Skulls? (level 1-14 Villainous arc)
If you play a character for 2 hours per day every single day whilst trying to get a badge
Instead of taking you 21 days (504 hours), it will instead take you 23 days (well 22.9 ) of accumulating 'only' 22 hours per day logged off.
Playing a for a couple of hours every night really doens't slow you down that much in your day job quest.
Heck I have lost more 'progress' in that by being away for a few days and having characters get to 24 or 25 days when I logged them in.
(The progress lost of course being on the next badge they could have been earning not the one they got at login)

I like the Day Job feature.
What I've taken to doing is play through an entire contact's missions and then park the toon and move on to another toon. If I am doing the radio/paper missions, I play the missions and the bank job and get my next contact and then park the toon.
Once every 22 days, I do what I like to call, "The Day Job Shuffle". That's where I shift all my toons to new Day Job locations.
