Ultralite RP?
Fair enough. You play your way, I play mine. I just dislike being labeled a godmoder because I choose to interpret "There is no fighting here" as, well, "There is no fighting here," rather than "There is no fighting here, unless it's a no-powers fist fight, since this is a night club, after all, which makes it a-okay."
Now back to your regularly scheduled thread.
After the brief sidetrip for a Pocket D debate, I think we can answer the OP in that, yes, there are some folks who are doing the kind of RP you like. The problem with our style of RP, though, is that we don't have a "hangout".. because we don't RP hanging out, usually.
So, we'd just need a hub or something.. some way to recognize each other.

I'd be interested in the Ultralite RP. Basically I make a character and make a little backstory sometimes if i really like them, and i will just RP randomly. I don't make pre-planned story arcs or anything like that. I just like free form stuff. Right now my game is still patching (14+ hours) and I have no way of knowing if the character i intend to play with will be there or deleted, since I have been away more than 90 days. But I will start over if need be. I'm just playing for fun. And I hope to play Red Side for the majority of things this time around. So shoot me a tell @Argiope

Hell, I was away for two freakin' years, and my characters were still there. So... yeah.
Just do your RP on pick up groups.
Rookery has it right, this is where you'll most often find light RP, that's as disposable as a candy wrapper. Indeed, when I yearn for simple, light RP, I usually just dial up a level 1 and run a sewer mission. Inevitably whatever light RP I throw out there, during the run, gets supported.
Many people like to RP, and just offering it up slightly, can get it going.
I also think light RP is often the most entertaining of all.
Now I better shush before someone reps me down for "Off Topic Maundering".
