"Hostile Negotiation" (WIP, Bayani vs. Midnight Trader)

A few months ago, I held some auditions, looking for other folks' villains to be a part of Bayani's regular "Rogues Gallery." First up was Kim Paler (Art's done, just stuck in Croatia til October...long story don't ask). Recently, Jeff Stokely completed the second commission in the series. Short story forthcoming. But here's Bayani and Eddy Swan's Midnight Trader squaring off.

Very cool. I love the angles and the stylization. I think its just ever-so-slightly bottom-heavy, though. Might have been nice to see both characters moved up a teeny smidge.

Yeah, definitely a few minor tweaks to be made in coloring stage (one of the benefits from hiring artists to do different parts of the same piece). I haven't selected a colorist yet. Waiting to hear back from a few folks about some other commissions.

I was thinking that the balance issue could probably be all straightened out by good use of color ^.^

On this I think that the pieces as it is isn't off balance, it just builds up to the top.
And yes, colouring will no doubt bring it more into blance to your liking too

(And thanks for another artist for my watchlist, of course!)
No prob! He's reasonable to work with and could use the extra work too; he lost his portfolio on his way to SDCC so...
