any opinons on improving em/nin?

I just made this build, and while I know it is expensive, I think I can handle it in a few weeks. It has capped def to everything except AoE (barely) and it has a decent amount of +rech and accuracy. I basically tried making a very survivable stalker while not giving up too much dmg so that he could play like a scrapper with auto crits at the start of a fight. I figure with AS ET and TF i can blow through solo play like nothing (not that stalkers have a problem with that anyways) while still being valuable on a team. Any suggestions on how to improve him would be much appreciated. And I am rather new at making high usage out of IO sets, but I think I did really well on this one. Thanks in advance for any help.

You built so heavily into recharge but didn't take Hasten. I'd really only go into the Fighting pool if I were to build into bonuses other than defense. Soft-capping without it on SR and Nin is easy-mode.

This build sacrificed a little KB protection, has essentially the same positionals (Soft-capped), but gives up nothing in damage or accuracy. In fact, it betters accuracy, damage, recharge, and HP bonuses by a huge margin.

It is an expensive build of course. One less LotG Recharge can go towards things, and you can replace purple sets with the lower end sets for essentially the same bonuses (IE: Malaise instead of Persuasion, Devastation instead of Apocalypse...)

This is my EM/Nin's build. Less accuracy and recharge, more damage.

Myiabi neither of your builds are softcapped. Hide when supressed is only giving you 3% defense.

That is true, but in his defense, I don't think that Kioshi claimed the second one was soft capped. Thanks for the replies either way tho


EDIT** oh, and he can temporarily soft cap with shadow meld. I was going to use that in the original build, but once I found a way to perma soft cap I dropped the power and upped the defenses a slight bit more so that def debuffs wouldn't hurt as bad

There now you have a not-so expensive softcapped build based on Myabi's second build (although I'd pick the powers in different order, Bone Smasher ASAP and push Stamina to 28). Also added some recharge.

Yeah, the build was for a revemped resepc at 50, as that is the point in which I usually IO my characters. Bone Smasher was originally taken at lvl 2 on the character in game.

Luckily my Stalker isn't 50 yet, still plenty of time to rework her build.

Edit: Actually, question. If I softcap, won't that make Shadow Meld useless? :P

Pretty much, yes.

I was happy to respec out of it when I moved to my softcapped build. It was useful at times, but I often found it annoying.

That was my thinking on it. Shadow Meld would still help if you went against enemies with some -def powers, or anyone with +tohit, but thats about it after softcapping. Of course anyone who cannot afford to IO out their character can still use it on a regualr basis.
