How do Illusion/Radiation Controllers do in Arena?
Ill/Rad isn't a bad combo.
Rad took the nerf bat to the face with all the recent changes, but with practice it still works.
Go for some +Rech so you can have your pets out as often as possible, and with them being out you can almost count on your opponent being perma suppressed unless they run out of combat.
Ill still has decent dmg in its primary and a place for the placate proc, add to that deceive (Diff mez suppression timers) and you should be ok. I reccomend Power Mastery for PB Holds/Debuffs/Heals.
It'd be good to get some kind of +Perc in your build but I'm not sure which pool to sacrifice out of SS/SJ/Stam/Phase. I assume your build will have phase or hiber since most Arena duelists need some sort of phase or hiber to take burst dmg.
If you are talking about blind, the sleep component is a pseudo pet. When the proc triggers it will placate the pseudo pet, not you.
I had a friend who tried that and he said he lacked a lot of dmg but for 2v2 it might be good.

As far as ill/rad, I have had great luck with it. If you want damage I suggest taking stone mastery. Seismic smash does great damage as does hurl, which when slotted for KB can KB 50% of the people you encounter. I use mine mostly for arena in a SG PvP ladder we have going and it has gotten me from ranked roughly 30 to number 2. The shield also offers decent def and elusivity. And if you have room to fit it in, the heal is awesome as it gives you capped HP after using it. I still miss the days of perma AM and perma PA............ good old pre i13 days. I do fairly decent with my Ice/Rad in pvp zones. I hear that DR did smack /Rad in the face, but the -tohit and -resist still work fairly well in IR and EF. You may get mezzed and have your toggles drop, but after you're released, you have a pretty decent grace period in not getting mezzed again.
I'm just playing around with Power Mastery as my APP since power blast seems to do the most ranged damage (edit: without being grounded to activate), resist stacks with the auto-resist you receive in pvp, and conserve helps with end management when fighting the popular sapper builds.
Since holds last only for so long to do containment damage, I guess I'd suggest an easy ranged damage attack in the APPs. Stone does do high numbers, but you need to be on the ground the activate throw boulder and put yourself in close range for Seismic. Forget the +def armor but Earth's embrace is always good (though affected by DR)
One last thought -- though your holds aren't toggle dropping against players, their armor and all buffs are reduced to zero effectiveness when they're mezzed.

I run a Thug/Pain MM and Ill/Rads are highly annoying to fight with my MM build cause on BG mode you cant control your pets thus they attack the decoys and such giving you the chance to go all out knowing that you got lil damg on you
Considering turning my illusion/radiation controller into an Arena Pvp 1v1. Before I fork over the influence to IO her out I am just curious to how well they perform in pvp now? Any insight will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
