Just so you all know, if you ever start a post about a particular primary/secondary and it gets tagged that way (for example, I've done lots of fir/kin, as well as starting on ill/rad but will also be doing other AT as well), that could very well be my work.

Hmm, so I should make the tags for the powerset proliferation ones now to beat you to the punch? 
Of course I'm not going to try to talk you out of anything, but but it's not like there's any need to get competitive about obtaining the "Forum Tagger" badge. Though now that I think on it, it might be sorta cool to be able to tell somehow who tagged what how.

Tags "could" be useful but they likely will not be. When is the last time you have used a tag search and gotten a meaningful result? It would take a lot of community involvement to make them worth while.
Not to say it could not be done. I just do not see it working out on this size of a forum with this type of community. Feel free to prove me wrong

Thread Tags are about as useful as a Betamax player. The concept was great in the beginning, but no longer functions.
