need something new

hey everyone, just i need some help. i wanna make a new character which ill actually have fun with. My plan with it is street swipe from like lvl 1-4, then hit the sewers for a levels, hit up hollows, do all the contacts and then go down in the tunnels and **** stuff down there for good xp/influ/pres... then after that its just mishs, and whatever i think of on the way to 50. As u can see i like AOEs, large groups, i love to farm, but i dont do it for experience devs! anyways, some of my other chars, 50 fire/ss/fire tank, 50 dm/da/dark scrap, 50 kat/sr/wpn scrap, 50 fire/kin/fire troller, 39 shield/ss, 36 earth/rad troller, 36 db/sr scrap, 10 ma/sr scrap, lvl 38 ice/nrg blaster...

I Prefer Tanks and Scraps, Love them to death, so i want one of those
Controllers arent really my thing, i just play em when im in the odd mood for support
blasters, pb, ws, def, are way to squishy for me even know i have one, i have no clue how hes made it that far...prob cuz of the dmg...ANYWAYS...Plz be open to suggestions and anything, plz..ty..

Elec on a Brute didn't get spectacular for me till about level 33.

elec on a brute isn't so hot even after 33. Both the lightning rod and chain induction bolt are psuedo pet powers that have a 400% damage cap as opposed to attacks from other sets which don't limit you and allow brutes to reach they're full 850% damage cap. Solo and in small teams or farming elec is still the shiz, but for maximum aoe potential you'd be better off with SS or DB. I think DB actually edges out over SS for consistent aoe output, what with the crashless living, but SS is classic so you can't go wrong there.

Spines/Dark or Spine/Fire may be the way to go if you want to scrap. Plant/Rad troller is another option.

I'll toss in a vote for Mind/Rad troller here. Then again I'm a fan of obscene amounts of control and debuffage over actual damage.

All the Brute suggestions are nice. My First 50 was an Elec/Elec Brute and, while it isn't the greatest performing brute in the kingdom, can still hold his own. I've been witnessing some good Brute action coming from a Super Strength/Invul brute recently that might be nice. A spines/invul Scrapper might be cool too. Maybe a Spines/WP would fit better though. Really just pick anything and run with it. Some of my curent powerset favorites are Stalker Elec Melee, Plant Control, Super Strength, Cold Domination, Martial Arts and Archery. Try something completely new and try it for a few levels. if you enjoy it that long, plow him to 22 and ask yourself if you still like him.

Aw, go try brute anyways. Do paper missions and pretend you're listening to a police scanner instead. Play Superstrength, run Rage, get full fury, hit KO blow and Footstomp and realize "This? This is why Superstrength hasn't proliferated to Scrappers."
