COX on a Thinkpad T60P
I have a T60p as well with Fire GL5250. For me, CoH runs ok on it without going to safe mode. It looks like we have a similar setup. But I don't have much idea what causes your problem. Thinkpad has a system update that you can try. You can also check if a video driver update will help.
I just restarted my account on COX after 2 years. Before I did I wanted to see if it would work with the computer I'm using, a ThinkPad T60p. I checked the forms and googled but I couldn't find any info. Should anyone else run into this problem I just want to let them know what I found out.
The ThinkPad T60p uses an ATI FireGL 5200 video. I can play the game but only in safe mode. If you try to launch in normal mode you will crash every time. Frame rate in safe mode is the pits, but it works. Hopefully in a month or two I will have my desktop system back and can enjoy COX in it's full graphic glory, until then, at least I can play. |

update:
I only need to log in using safe mode once if I go into options. That saves all the low end settings so I can use normal log in.
I don't like posting HiJackThis logs, way to much info going public. I know this box needs a clean OS install, I just can't spare the down time to do it until I get my desktop system back. I'm just happy I can play at all.
Here is the output of my COH helper in case it helps anyone.

I don't have a problem, but I'll also post my output for CoH helper. Maybe you can compare and see what the difference is.
Edit: I'm using Vista while yours is XP. But you can check if a video driver update is available for you.

Your video drivers are fairly out of date.
The current drivers are available here:

Might suggest using system update to check for more updates too.
