You're not missing anything, PvP's ridiclously broken, just like everybody always knew it would be, and insoluably so. It's still occasionally fun to just go goof around in there, if you don't care what happens.

Yeah, PvP has "diminishing returns" which basically knocks down any bonuses you've IO'd out for. It even affects buffs/debuffs/healing so that your 300 point self heal? Does 200 the second time you use it. Then 100. Then 50. Then oops, dead. (note that this isn't a very long-lasting effect. Just if you heal more thanonce every 10 seconds)
I'd hit the PvP forums and ask for some build/playstyle advice if you're serious about being a contender.

i have a illusion/emp troller lvl 50 and i was bored so i decided to see what a troller defence can do. In PvE i have 40 lethal and smash defence and 26 res to smash and lethal..but in pvp it shoots straight down to 17 in everything. Why is it doing this? It seems like my whole power choice is a fail in pvp. I know they changed some stuff but why wont they let me have my PvE defences?
