What Powerset is your brute? I have Sirroco on many of my brutes and I have to say the Ball Lightning and Electric Cages are quite handy. The story arc isn't bad, but you can select Sirrocco as your patron and still take Mako's powers.

I'd forgotten that you could take a different set of powers, though I doubt I would. I'm a bit of a purist in that respect.
The Bile Spray is quite sexy when you have rage going. Arctic breath with a footstomp will keep them on their backs.
The way I RP having the different powers of another patron is that I am acting as a spy for my patron 
Like for my Ninja Blade stalker, I wanted Mako's powers but Sirrocco fit better as a Patron since his accolade is a sword.
I'd lean toward Scirocco. There is just something fishy about that Mako fellow.
Yeah Scirocco is my favorite simply for Ball Lightning. It's pretty potent after a Rage + Fury.

Scirocco's arc is just amazing, and I love his set for my VEAT. I'm not sure what, mechanically speaking, would be better for a Brute--but based on story alone, Scirocco all the way.

I'm going with Ghost Widow's powers on one brute (DM/SR). I want Gloom to up my DPS for AV/Hero soloing, and Darkest Night to help with the same.
My Shield/SS will be taking something that gives me more AoE, not sure which yet. As far as story arcs go, I will run through all 4 of them at least once, because I have never run them before.

Or, as I like to say while I Trow Fishie! "You know I'm a villain because I throw SHARKS at people!"
I also like going "OM NOM NOM NOM" while Bruce chews on folks.
And Bile Spray is fun to hit allies with "by accident". If your graphics are high enough, you actually see liquid dripping out of their mouths while they hork up the fish guts.

My brute just hit 38, so I'm only a few fury filled hours from Grandville and a new Patron Arc. My first high level villain went with Ghost Widow, and I don't want a mace for this character, so Black Scorpion is out.
I'm very tempted to go with Mako, just for Throw Fish, but I've heard Scirroco's story arc is good.
Any suggestions?
