Reveal!

Surely it's counterproductive on indoor maps?
I got my 63 month veteran reward today. I love the Reveal power. All it does is get rid of fog of war on any map, but it saves me a lot of time.
It has a 5 minute recharge and 1.5 second cast time, so you can use it often. You can use it in door missions as well as outdoor areas. If you use it inside a door mission, one application will get rid of the black on the map for every floor of the map. It's not a big thing. It's a nice little helpful tool. Very appropriate for a veteran reward. *zaps the black out of the Dark Astoria map* Oh yes, I'll be using it a lot. |
"Where have I been? Damn, wish I hadn't used that map power."
Zone maps are a different matter though.

That depends. If you're being thorough in going through the map, then you might not want to use it. If you're not being so careful, then it can be nice to know where the rooms are, while avoiding the dead end corridors.
depends on the map.
if you're running radio missions it would be very handy.
I know my stalker would LOVE to be able to hit a button and know where the 'boss room' was.
One one of those big story arc maps with multiple objectives, yeah, that could be a mistake. =P

Since it'll be a few weeks until i get mine i have a question.
On instanced maps does it fill in the map for everyone on the team like exploring a map usually does?
Dr. Todt's theme.
