The last two powers on an Arch/Elec/Elec...
How many slots do you have to spare for these last two powers?
Do you like to use your melee attacks, you already have three and Charged Brawl is a great addition, but only if you can slot it. Power Sink is a fabulous Endurance recovery tool; I would call it a must have, but some people attack less prolifically than I and find they can do without.
Lightning Clap is a decent control tool and doesn't require slotting beyond the base slot for an Accuracy.

What the hell? Let's buff defenders.
Tactics are for those who do not have a big enough hammer. Wisdom is knowing how big your hammer is.
I'll have 8 slots (6 and the defaults) to spend.
Melee attacks are not my focus - the vast majority of the time is spent repeating ROA and Explosive these days. (man, RoA is fantastic...) I will use the melee attacks when enemies close to me or I fight bosses though. (my usual tactic for the boss is to stack my two holds and then move to melee)
I wasn't aware that Power Sink was so great for end recovery - I thought it was mainly a end drain for the enemies. I'm usually fine for End unless I forgot to turn off Fly or something, but an instant End recovery power is never a bad thing to have I think. I'll give it a shot.
If Lightning Clap doesn't require much slotting I might try it. I already have 2 holds, a hold proc and a stun, which is starting to feel like I rolled a controller, but given how badly things can go for me if I don't get the drop on the enemies or I'm ambushed an AOE stun might be very useful.
Thanks for your advice.

Aid Other (only base slot, other 3 go in other powers), Aid Self (base slot + 3).

Energy/Energy Blaster Guide
My highest level blaster just recently hit 49, and I'm going to respec her at 50, freeing up two picks from powers I hardly ever use. Can anyone give me any suggestions about great choices for the last two power picks?
I don't have a mids build all planned out, but in summary I will definitely be keeping all these powers... Archery: All powers except Ranged Shot Elec Manip: Electric Fence, Havoc Punch, Build Up, Thunder Strike, Shocking Grasp Elec Mastery: Shocking Bolt, Charged Armour, Surge of Power Flight: Hover and Fly Fitness: Swift, Health and Stamina Speed: Hasten That leaves the following choices - Archery: Ranged Shot Elec Manip: Charged Brawl, Lightning Field, Lightning Clap, Power Sink Elec Mastery: Static Discharge, EM Pulse And the following pool powers I'm interested in - Boxing and Tough Maneuvers/Assault/or Tactics Aid Other and Aid Self Grant Invis and Invisibility Does anyone have any ideas about what two I should choose? |
Pick up two Performance Shifter IOs (any two) and slot them in Power Sink for a nice 5% buff to Hover's speed.
Slot Static Discharge as you would any cone/AoE, but add one Range IO afterward so it more closely matches Fistful's range. Then, if you've got Fistful's recharge time down to 4s or lower, you can fire off Fistful > Static > Explosive > Fistful with 0s delay between attacks and deal as much damage as RoA.
I had Lightning Clap and Charged Brawl on my Arch/Elec. CB was a staple of mine for many levels - pointy sticks at long range, then CB+HP for anybody who got close. Worked great. And Lighting Clap isn't something I took for the stun - it's the knockback. It's my GTFO emergency button when things go bad. Always worthwhile to have one.

I had Power Sink, and even after slotting it up I noticed it was "meh" for me. I've noticed that having Stamina well slotted should keep you in blue easily enough.
Basically my build is the same as yours, save for Super Speed as the travel, and swap Thunder Strike for Charged Brawl (I agree, charged brawl is wonderful, decently slotted), and the aforementioned Ranged Shot. Do as you will, but I've not found Power Sink all that effective. I'm also not a blapper by any stretch, so if your going that route, more power to you.
I just read back and realized I've given no real advice here. Oh well. Just glad I'm not the only arch/elec/elec out there.

Archery: All powers except Ranged Shot
Elec Manip: Electric Fence, Havoc Punch, Build Up, Thunder Strike, Shocking Grasp
Elec Mastery: Shocking Bolt, Charged Armour, Surge of Power
Flight: Hover and Fly
Fitness: Swift, Health and Stamina
Speed: Hasten
That leaves the following choices -
Archery: Ranged Shot
Elec Manip: Charged Brawl, Lightning Field, Lightning Clap, Power Sink
Elec Mastery: Static Discharge, EM Pulse
And the following pool powers I'm interested in -
Boxing and Tough
Maneuvers/Assault/or Tactics
Aid Other and Aid Self
Grant Invis and Invisibility
Does anyone have any ideas about what two I should choose?
