Aaaaaaaaarg Help with support

Ok need some help with support to my point of view my problems pretty simple to fix but i seem to be bashing my head of a brick wall so I'm hoping some one here can help me understand the problem.

So to start from the beginning a while back (like a year ago) i got one of the CoV collectors edition boxes at the time all i really wanted it for was the art book as at the time I didn't have any concepts that called for the cape or chest detail. then at Memrobilya i got another box (they were giving them away at the door to the fist X number of people thrue)

So i now had to box's the one i had bought and had opened and taken the art book out and the little hero clix models (now stuck to my monitor ) and a un opened box which got stuck in the cupboard to gather dust.

fast forward to the end of last month and sub time is running out on my second account and i don't have the cash to renew it (got to love bills) any way i have the great idea of using the code in the CoV collectors box to extend my second account by a month so log in and apply the code woot one months extra play time.

But I like to try and have my 2 accounts as close as possible in options and im also thinking the cape and chest detail will go great with the veat helmets that have just unlocked on my main account so after a rake in the cupboard i find the CoV collectors box from memorabilia open it up and take out the little code card and proceed to add it to my account but it wont add just keeps giving the option to create a new game account.

So i fire of a question to support saying got this code but the system wont let me use it on my existing account.

get a response saying its getting bumped to a Senior GM

Senior GM asks for the code i'm trying to apply so i give it to him along with the variations i had tried thinking i was typing it wrong

Senior GM replys saying its a standard CoV code not a collectors edition one and says "If you have other questions, do not hesitate to contact us again."

Dam right i had more questions like how come the collectors edition box i have doesn't have a collectors edition serial code so i reply saying as much and explaining how it had come from memorabilia.

so the Senior GM asks for photos of both box's and the recipes so that they can look into the matter.

So thinking fair anuff I take photos of the boxes and there contents and after a troll thrue my emails i find the receipt for the box i purchased but i have no proof of purchase for the memorabilia one as it was free. So i send the pictures and explain that i only have the one proof of purchase as the other box had been a free gift.

to which I get back that they cant help because i don't have proof of purchase for the 2 box's so i once again explain that the second box came from memorabilia and that i do not and never had a receipt of purchase for it as it was a free gift from the memorabilia show i also point out that suerly the fact that i have to boxes with all the contents should be enough proof to show that i should have 2 collector edition serial codes.

But once again they reply saying cant do anything as you don't have a receipt so i have once again replied saying "There was no receipts being issued because it was received as part of a give away"




Now if you've read this far first of all thanks as i realise that its a bit of a wall of text and my spellings not great. some of you are also probably thinking what dose it matter it was free nothing lost etc etc which is what i thought at first as well after all it had not cost me anything to get the box as i was going to memorabilia any ways.

but the thing is if i had know in that there was going to be this issue the code would have been applied to my main account and i would have let me second account lapse for a month but i thought i had 2 codes so now to get the extras on my main account it looks like i'm going to need to go get a 3rd box which will probably involve e-bay which i don't fancy doing and why should i go get another box when i have a perfectly complete box that for some reason or another has a standard edition serial code in it instead of a collectors edition code.

So any advise?

Should I just chalk it up to bad luck and move on or should I continue to harass support?

To be honest I think you have a point, you have 2 accounts and therefore are entitled to use a code on each. I can understand where support are coming from, however what's the point of getting the free box from memorabilia if you can't use it?

My advice would be to keep challenging them, do you have any proof that you were at memorabilia as that may help your case?

I'm currently searching for my ticket but as it was a piddly little thing it could be any where tho I'm currently wondering dose a PPD code and some draw the world together sketches count.

Weirdly up till now I've normally not had any trouble with support but first time for everything a i guess.

Well i have continued to badger support and even sent them copy of my memorabilia ticket booking as well as supplying links to where the new post states that NC would be giving away copy's of COV: collectors edition'

But im still just getting a generic

"We understand your frustration, however we are not able to assist you with this issue. Thanks for your understanding."

yet it should be blatantly clear from my continued pursuit of the issue that I don't understand.

Also they seem very reluctant to answer my question about there support of copy's of the game that are given away as prizes I've even flat out asked

"Dose that mean that NCsoft don't support copy's of there games given away as
Prizes?"

and no answer so if any one happens to win a copy of a NC game don't be surprised if NC Support wont help you out if you have issues with it.

Keep complaining.

Don't give up on it either. When i had account problems i was sending 4 tickits a day for 3 weeks until they finally sorted out my problem, yes it may have annoyed the hell out of them but it was not my fault they screwed up.

This is not your fault, and i would hope a redname reads this and takes the issue to their bosses. But then again, COH does like giving people stuff and then taking it away from them again.

Oh i fully intend to keep at this till they close the ticket at which point ill start all over again its now become more a matter of principal I have a COV collectors edition and i dam well want to use it.

Well if any ones interested I've now been waiting since the 26/6/09 for a update (so 13 days) from support which just seems down right ridiculous for a issue to sit open especially as i raised the issue more than a month ago (raised it 29/5/09)
