Yeah I bought the architect edition trough steam yesterday.
I figured, 1 month of gametime and a booster pack for 11.99 plus the convenience of not having to fiddle with my dvds when I reinstall the game again is worth it.

But singstar, you will still need to update the game with the updater.
Steam has only put the game files up till Issue 14 online, the patches released after issue 14's release and the Issue 15 pre-load need to be gotten via the regular updater.

Yeah, but once you are up to date, Steam keeps you up to date by downloading and installing the patches for you when they become available if you leave Steam running.

The only thing it doesn't do is the big pre-issue downloads after you log out, but I can liv with that

when we buy this one , can we extend the game time of our current account?

Yeah, you don't even need to download the client (although it's dead handy if you) you get the relevant code you need to apply to your normal account, just like buying the boxed edition.

Well, now you've made me unsure...
If the game doesn't update through steam, there's no point getting it through steam really. The point would be to get the update and get it applied by just leaving the computer on 24/7 near Issue releases!
