Mapserver Connection Problem

Hi,

I've tried several times to try and create a character on the Union server - I can only complete the tutorial but once I try to get to Atlas park or Galaxy city the splash screen freezes and after a few minutes I get shoved back to the main log in screen with a pop up saying something along the lines of: "Mapserver connection Problem".

I'm also on a 14 day trial account.

Not sure why this is happening to you.

What happens if you create a character and skip the tutorial?

It's the same as if I did the tutorial - it doesn't work. The ID card is shown but it freezes and goes back to the main login screen with that same pop up.

I have no problems on the Defiant server, but I want to go to the Union server due to the RP population there.

Hmmm. That's really odd. Normally if it was a Server issue there'd be a few people on the boards saying the same thing within a few minutes.

But if it's fine on Defiant that'd suggest a server issue.

I can't check myself but I wonder if there's anyone else reading who could quickly create a character on Union and go to Galaxy and confirm if they have any issues doing so.

I finally managed to re-create my character and play on union for a few hours before getting the same problem when I took the train to Galaxy City. I logged in the next day and my character was in Galaxy's yellow line station - I took the train to King's Row and it happened again.

I still can't log in and it's been 3 days. FFS.

I think it has something to do with the fact the AE (MA) buildings are in the busiest zones, and that entering the building keeps you in that zone, until you enter a holomish...

Maybe they should get moved to their own zone?

If it was to do with the AE i would think t would be affecting a lot more of the player base.

I know you've tryed defiant and its fine there what about the german and french servers how are they.

Also have you sent a ticket to support?
